00:00I saw that I had a stock that was India's probably largest dairy stock and it didn't feel right at
00:09all to have that so I took it out then I said okay what should I do with this cash
00:15and I thought is
00:16there even a place to put it I found something called ESG funds environment governance so these
00:22are supposed to be companies that have a good track record on environment sustainability and
00:27you can invest in them then I saw what companies are in that fund and that same company was in
00:32that fund
00:33and not just that there were fossil fuel companies in there then I said okay should I just keep the
00:38money in the bank then but even that is not really going to do anything because the bank is going
00:42to
00:42the bank will be lending your money to the same company same people which stocks to buy saving
00:49money or what you don't know who you are you don't know what is the right age for marriage
00:58it's green energy the right sector to build a career in in the political domain should we support
01:05green parties now what is this about phones that enchants me and you could keep asking all these
01:14questions and we can discuss them and it would be a fascinating intellectual discussion but these
01:20things are all linked to each other and very very deeply linked you cannot really change one little
01:27part of your life and expect that something real has shifted no there would be no real movement
01:38I won't have the stocks of a pollutant company in my portfolio that's a nice moral gesture to make
01:46does not help beyond a point it doesn't help you it also doesn't help the planet start from within if
01:57your fundamental priorities remain the same and then superficial changes do not amount too much
