00:00And honorable members, throughout this speech I have spoken about the need for Europe to act together.
00:05Our risks being pulled apart.
00:08Once again this summer, this reality was tested at our borders.
00:13From our eastern borders to the shores of Crete and right across the Mediterranean.
00:18And of course with the crisis in Ceuta.
00:22The events may be different in nature, but they have two things in common.
00:28The first thing is that vulnerable people are being exploited by callous traffickers and smugglers, by our adversaries.
00:40And this is why we have proposed a sanctions regime to hit criminals where it hurts most.
00:47And the second point.
00:50All of our external borders are European borders.
00:54So I want to address the people of Spain directly.
01:00Ceuta's border is a European border.
01:03Because Ceuta is Spain.
01:06And Ceuta is Europe.
01:08And Europe will be there for you.
01:13Aplausos.
