00:00Bloody Carrie, Bloody Carrie, Bloody Carrie.
00:07Hi, I'm Kristen.
00:08And I'm Allison.
00:09And we are the directors of Entertainment Weekly's digital covers.
00:12And welcome to our digital cover shoot for the Amazon series Carrie.
00:16In the cover, we start on a prom photo booth.
00:20She seems naive and nervous.
00:22It's her first prom.
00:23And then as the cover progresses, things go a little bit haywire.
00:27So we're shooting this cover in three parts.
00:29We wanted to play with the idea of match cuts.
00:31So in between this picture perfect prom set up,
00:34you're getting the glimpses into the chaos of what's maybe going on inside Carrie's mind.
00:39How she's feeling.
00:40Was this a dream?
00:41Was this a nightmare?
00:42We are going to slowly destroy the set a little bit.
00:44We're going to change the lighting for each one of those.
00:47We go darker.
00:47We go moodier.
00:48It's going to be a lot of fun.
00:49So our second asset is our header shot.
00:52So the shot starts out with Carrie ominously lifting her head and looking towards the camera.
00:56As we pull back, we reveal that things are starting to float.
01:00As we get to our final shot, she finally lets go of her concentration and breaks and everything drops.
01:07The rigging for that is nuts.
01:09But Isaac Aaron, our incredible production designer, has created this insane ballet of fishing line.
01:15It's truly an all hands on deck shot, pulling these wires to make these things float.
01:20So be sure to check out all of these assets on EW's socials.
01:23At EW.com.
