00:07The Closest We'll Get is the title track of my EP and it's a song about two people that are

00:12in the grey area between being friends and being something more. The whole EP is about a friendship
00:17that maybe two people are secretly hoping that one of them will be brave enough to say something.
00:21I hope people take from it that it's a journey and I've been using a lot of butterflies and
00:26that kind of imagery because I think that kind of is what from the writing process to recording felt
00:31like. It felt like almost I was in a cocoon and I was almost a shell of myself and then
00:35by the end
00:35it had just been done in such a cathartic way I felt like I completely changed as a person which
00:40felt really beautiful and when we play it live it starts off so small and by the end of it
00:45it's
00:45like this massive massive moment. This was Song Stories for NME. I love you so much, thank you for having
