00:00There are still a lot of questions, even after the federal government released its findings of
00:05fraud in Minnesota. Star Tribune political reporter Ryan Faircloth, read through thousands of pages
00:12of the report, says he still wants to know more. I would like to know how much of this really
00:17reached the governor. That wasn't always clear either. And I would like to know more about
00:21whether the governor's office, whether they were ordering DHS to look into this stuff or not.
00:26He told WCCO's Blois Olson, the real question is who knew what and when.
00:31Fraud was on their radar, but it seems like for years here, what they were missing was like,
00:36how bad was it? They didn't know that. As far as who to blame?
00:39It's obviously the administration, but you know, the more the governor's office,
00:43is it more DHS? What we later found out from what federal prosecutors uncovered of widespread fraud.
00:48The idea that a governor wouldn't answer questions about a story this serious is not the Minnesota way.
00:56And Lisa Dameth will hold the news conference today at 1.30 calling on people to be removed
01:00from their job. I don't know who specifically, but you know, this will definitely continue to be an
01:06issue in the governor's race. The article alleged that Topwell's administration officials failed
01:11to connect red flags across multiple separate states' social programs. Dameth demanded immediate
01:16dismissals for two specific state administrators.
01:19Of Assistant Commissioner Corte, who was aware of major problems with defeating our future
01:26as far back as 2020, but failed to stop the massive fraud scandal. I am also calling for
01:33the firing in the Department of Children, Youth and Families Deputy Commissioner Leah Montgomery.
01:40Dameth says these would just be the start of several firings that would take place if she becomes
01:44governor, including every current state commissioner heading Minnesota state
