00:00I live in Los Angeles, which means I can no longer just wake up and have a body.
00:04I have to optimize it. I track my sleep, I lift weights, I do Pilates, I use a red light,
00:09and my kitchen counter looks like I take enough supplements to conduct a small clinical trial.
00:12And now wellness is apparently our social life too. I recently got an invitation to a singles
00:17meetup in a sauna. Because dating in Los Angeles wasn't difficult enough, I am now expected to meet
00:22a man while sweating in a small wooden room. So I've recently adopted a new radical wellness
00:27practice, which is enjoying myself. I drink Dr. Pepper zero, and I eat nerds gummy clusters,
00:31and I, amazingly, have not yet exploded. Self-care was supposed to make our lives feel better,
00:36it was not supposed to become our lives.
