00:05Smart glasses, smart TVs, smart air conditioners, the devices we use at home are getting increasingly intelligent.
00:13This is IFA 2026, one of the world's biggest shows of consumer electronics.
00:19This year's theme is the future is now, and it's easy to see why.
00:29At this five-day show in Berlin, one trend stands out – smart devices working together.
00:35CCL calls this vision an NI-inspired life, where artificial intelligence, sustainable energy and next-generation displays come together in
00:44one living space.
00:45At the heart of it is CCL's screen universe.
00:48From tiny displays and smart glasses to paper-like phones and tablets and giant TVs, screens are becoming smart interfaces,
00:57connecting people, content and the world around them.
01:00There are many new screens in the future.
01:05The camera doors are used.
01:07The camera doors are not even locked in one's window.
01:18The camera doors are set-to-time.
01:21The camera doors are designed to unlock apps and settings.
01:26The camera doors are built to have convenience.
01:27Here are many windows and computers in the calidad of life.
01:28The lights have the life-free.
01:29The lights are also built and the accessibility in the world.
01:30partnered with the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, taking place in Berlin at the same time as
01:35IFA. The company says its cinema-scale displays using SQD mini-LED and micro-LED technology
01:43make watching sport at home more immersive.
02:06It's not just the screen panels that are getting better, it's the software behind them too.
02:12Google TV has built its AI model Gemini into compatible TVs so viewers can quickly find
02:19something to watch just by describing what they're in the mood for or adjust settings simply by talking
02:25to the screen. As the models get better, they understand the user much better, they understand
02:31the user personalization much better across the usage on mobile, on desktop and now we're bringing
02:36that to the TV so they deeply know the user, they know the context of the user and within that
02:41they
02:41can actually help respond in a delightful and useful way to the user. Spinning more than two dozen
02:48buildings, IFA 2026 covers a huge range of themes including beauty tech and well-being. Everything
02:56from high-tech healthcare products and wearables to exoskeletons supporting physical mobility and next
03:03generation full-body massage chairs offering AI customized treatments. It's not substituting human
03:11beings, it's just helping us to advance a little bit. Technology is needed, it is developing,
03:18but still we need human contact. A part of IFA has been turned into a showcase for humanoid robots.
03:25International research teams take part in the Robocop competition, building robots that play football,
03:31picking up required skills along the way. Heinrich Melmann from Humboldt University of Berlin compares
03:36what's coming to the changes brought by the internet and smartphones. When the robots will finally be able
03:42to navigate on the street, in our homes, in the factories, this will be a much bigger social change. I
03:49don't know
03:50which one, so I don't know, but I know that we need to involve as many people as possible so
03:55that we can
03:56scrutinize the issues early on and develop ideas that are promising.
04:04From translation screens breaking down language barriers to flying cars, promising a new way to move
04:10around cities. IFA 2026 went all-in to live up to its theme, the future is now. Across every hole,
04:18manufacturers from 49 countries thought how AI and automation are already making daily life better.
04:27I'm really optimistic to look forward. Why? Because it can make your life so much easier. Also people
04:34who need help, they can get help with robotic features or even with robots. That means you can enjoy your
04:42life in a better way with the technology, not of tomorrow, of today.
