00:00Mr. President, what do you say to some people in Ireland who say the U.S. is facilitating
00:05genocide in Gaza and also facilitating Israel around the illegal occupation of territories
00:11in the West Bank?
00:13Well, when you say Gaza, you know, we put out the fire.
00:16We got all the hostages back.
00:19There's very little happening right now in Gaza.
00:22That's not the place that people are talking about, actually, now.
00:25It was all about Gaza.
00:27We got involved, and we facilitated a piece of a kind.
00:32But we got all the hostages back, some dead, some living.
00:39We got them all back.
00:40They wanted, you know, it's amazing, the parents of those dead hostages, they knew they were
00:45dead.
00:45They wanted their son or daughter, but mostly sons.
00:49They wanted their sons back, their babies.
00:51The mothers sent their babies, they wanted the babies back just as much as though their
00:57son was alive.
00:59And we got them back.
01:00We got every one of them back.
01:01We had, in the end, we had 28 that were dead.
01:06And we had a lot that were alive.
01:09If you go back over the, you know, three, four-year period, we got many people forgot.
01:13But I always said that the last 30 or 40 is going to be very tough because of what happened.
01:18But we are, if you look at Gaza, there's a lot of good relationships taking place right
01:26now in Gaza.
01:27It's been quite amazing.
01:29I think we've done a great job.
01:30Jared Kushner, Steve Whitcoff, the whole group has done a very good job.
01:34Can I just say, sorry, just to make fun with myself, the President discussed the need
01:40for ongoing humanitarian aid to go into Gaza.
01:43And we will continue our discussions in terms of Irish aid and support going into Gaza.
01:49The President will try to facilitate that.
01:52I will get it done.
01:53Yeah.
01:53I think that's something.
01:55And the peace plan that the President has announced is something we support, the 20-point
02:00peace plan.
02:01And it is difficult and it is challenging, but I think it's the right direction.
02:06Particularly the humanitarian aspect.
02:09I think we can do more there.
02:10We'll get it done.
02:11We'll get it done.
02:12We'll get it done.
02:13So I'll let Dan Skobino work on it.
02:15Mr. President, what would you say to the thousands of Irish people who will be protesting
02:21today because they don't want you to come to Ireland?
02:25I didn't know there was a protest.
02:27It can't be a very big one because we, they're all,
02:30over Ireland today already.
02:32It's early in the morning and we've been, or we landed early.
02:35And we got here and we've made a couple of visits, as you know.
02:39And we have others to make.
02:41But I haven't seen any protests.
02:44It's a friendly protest, let's say.
02:46But we have a great relationship with Ireland.
02:49The United States and Ireland have a fantastic relationship.
02:53A very profitable one for Ireland.
02:56It's less profitable for us, to be honest with you.
03:00A rather big surplus.
03:02Your country, you can be very proud of your country because there's a big surplus, right?
03:08But no, we have a great relationship.
03:11I have seen no protests.
03:12President Trump, President Trump, is Iran responsible for the attack on the east-west pipeline?
03:21And when do you think Saudi Arabia is going to be able to get that cut out?
03:24Well, I think they are, probably they are.
03:25They're, you know, they're on the balls of their feet right now, but I think they are.
03:30They've been in charge of that for a while.
03:34We've had discussions.
03:37The Houthis called us and they don't want to fight with us.
03:40They let us know.
03:41They don't want to fight with us.
03:43They don't want me to go after them.
03:44They don't want us to go after them.
03:47But they've called and they've talked to us and they don't want us to.
03:51They would much prefer not having us involved.
03:54And they're letting most ships go through.
03:57There's just one country that they're not too happy with.
04:00And we'll get that straightened out.
04:03But I have to say, we've done a great job.
04:06You know, we control, as you know, we really very powerfully control our most straight.
04:12And nobody saw that happening.
04:13But we have very powerful control over it.
04:16And we have a naval blockade that's been so incredible.
04:20Boy, your oil prices would be much higher.
04:23We're taking a lot of boats out.
04:24We take out on average 25 boats a day.
04:28Most of them at night.
04:29But we take, on average, about 25 boats out every single day.
04:33Mr. President, President Biden, President Biden, President Biden, in Gaza and elsewhere.
04:39What did you discuss with your meeting with Catherine Biden earlier today?
04:42About what?
04:44She's been critical of your foreign policy in the past,
04:46and maybe she's been in Venezuela and also in the Middle East.
04:49What did you discuss with her today?
04:51Do you want to talk about that, Monica?
04:53Do you have nothing about it?
04:54About your conversation with the President.
04:57The President, yeah.
04:59We had a very constructive conversation with President Connolly today
05:02about a whole range of issues, including energy and European supplies of energy.
05:08Europe has plenty of sources of energy right here on the continent
05:12and in the surrounding waters of Europe.
05:16And they had that conversation very specifically.
05:19Okay.
05:20Did President Connolly bring up the conflicts in the Middle East, though, with you?
05:27We discussed a lot of things quickly.
05:30We weren't there very long.
05:32But it was a very nice meeting.
05:34We had a very respectful meeting.
05:37We did discuss Northern Ireland.
05:39I always find it to be very interesting, as we did.
05:41As we did earlier.
05:42I find it to be a very interesting discussion,
05:44because we know people of Northern Ireland and we know people of Ireland.
05:48I sometimes say, hey, when are you guys getting together, right?
05:52I do ask that question every time.
05:54You do.
05:55But you're consistent in that position.
05:57I'm sure it's complicated.
06:00But life is complicated.
06:01But now we discussed a lot of things.
06:04A lot of very positive things.
06:06We have a very positive trade relationship with Ireland.
