00:07Prime Minister, Sir Narendra Modi ji and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Jayad al-Nahayan,
00:17this friendship has grown stronger every year. This bond has been built carefully over the
00:28last 12 years since our Prime Minister took office in 2014. It gained new life when PM Modi
00:39visited the UAE in 2015, the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in 34 years. Since
00:50then, he has come here seven times. President Sheikh Mohammed bin Jayad al-Nahayan has visited
01:02India five times. They tell us how much both leaders value these relationships. In this
01:12time, our two countries have grown closer in trade, investment, energy, technology, defense
01:21and the digital world. The UAE is now one of India's biggest trading partners. It suppliers
01:29our energy, it invests in our infrastructure and renewable power. It is a great privilege
01:38to be here in the UAE, a country that has shown the world what is possible when vision, capital,
01:46infrastructure, entrepreneurship and speed of execution come together. The UAE has transformed
01:54itself into a global center for trade, logistics, manufacturing, finance and innovation. And today,
02:02we have come to Dubai with a single message. Odisha is ready to become your next manufacturing
02:09destination in India. Odisha is not a new industrial destination. We are an established industrial
02:17state now entering a new phase of transformation. We are moving from mineral strength to manufacturing
02:24strength, from primary production to value added products, from investment proposal to operating factories,
02:32technologies and from individual project to integrated industrial ecosystem.
02:37Odisha is not a new generation of opportunity is emerging. We are inviting investments in
02:48chemical and petrochemicals, renewable energy equipment, green hydrogen and green ammonia,
02:54electronics and semiconductors, pharmaceutical and medical devices, food and seafood processing,

03:16First of all, let me tell you, our visit here has been wonderful, whether it was with IHC in Abu
03:26Dhabi or whether it was with the Honourable Minister of Investment here or with all of you who have been
03:34meeting independently, individually.
03:37It has been so, so gratifying for us, and I really wish to thank each one of you for coming
03:46here and showing your interest, but I would eventually like all of you to come to Orisa and actually experience
03:52it yourself.
03:54My colleague has already spoken to you a lot about why Orisa. I would like to just sum it up
04:03so that you will never forget.
04:05So we say that Orisa is as the edge. So where the E stands for economy.
04:13And we are now a mid-income economy, our GSDP at $115 billion. And the good news is that Neeti
04:27Ayo, which is the India think tank, they have consistently rated Orisa as one of the best fiscally managed states.
04:36And that too, we have a lead compared to the other states. And why am I telling you this? Why
04:46does it matter?
04:48It matters because since we are revenue surplus, A, we will be able to honour whatever commitment we give to
04:57you.
04:57And B, we are investing that in capital infrastructure. And Orisa is a state which has, in its budget, the
05:11highest percentage of capex at 23% of the budget and 6.5% of the GSTP.
05:21Second is D. The D in edge is for the demographic advantage.

05:39What is it that brings Orisa to UAE, to Abu Dhabi, to Dubai, to Middle East and this North Africa,
05:47what is generally called the Meena region?
05:51The video which was presented here must have given you some insights, some brief details about the kind of industrial
05:59ecosystem which is now prevalent in Orisa.
06:02The investment attractiveness, the investment attractiveness, the kinds of sectors which are important, what kind of opportunities those traditional strengths
06:11of Orisa are available for more and more investors, what kind of trade and commerce opportunities are available between India
06:23and UAE.
06:26Before we begin, we must take a look at the India and UAE partnership.
06:32India and UAE have been long-standing partners in progress. We have been natural trade partners since ages.
06:39We have a strong diplomatic relationship further strengthened by the personal bond between the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Sri
06:49Narendra Modi and the leadership of UAE.
06:53We have also long-term business collaborations across multiple sectors, across different geographies between India and UAE.
07:02And this relationship is only going to be strengthened further with the presence of states like Orisa on the investment,
07:12trade, commerce and business horizon between these two countries.
07:18Now, you know about UAE, you obviously know about India, but how much do you really know about Orisa?
07:27Whenever we have these kinds of roadshows and we tell people about Odisa, one of the first comments which comes
07:36to us is that we didn't know.
07:38We had no idea that Odisa is full of such opportunities. There are so many things about Orisa which people
07:46outside of India sometimes do not know.
07:49And that is why Odisa is called India's best kept secret. I would try to unravel some of these secrets
07:57for you.
