00:00Here are the stories you need to know as you head into the weekend.
00:03Hudson Williams is seeing Devil in his next big TV role, or I guess you could say we're seeing
00:07Devil to Hudson. The heated rivalry breakout star is playing not one, but two characters in the
00:12upcoming mystery thriller Yaga. You heard me right, two Hudsons. He'll play the characters
00:17Henry and Logan in the series, which reimagines the Bobby Yaga myth in a small coastal town.
00:23Yaga hits Crave in Canada this October and AMC Plus in the US. Breaking news, Jennifer Lawrence
00:28is now on Instagram. She's officially joined the platform only about 15 years after the rest of us
00:34did. But she came prepared with one very important rule. If anyone says anything negative, I will quit.
00:42She doubled down on her Instagram story, writing, please be mindful that any mean or aggressive
00:47comments can negatively affect the baby. It's me. I'm the baby. Honestly, a pretty perfect Instagram
00:53debut. And you can follow her at JLAW because according to her bio, at Jennifer Lawrence was
00:58already taken. But that's what happens when you join so late. If you've been dying to see O'Mary but
01:02haven't made it to the theater, I have really great news. It's coming to your couch. A live capture of
01:07Cola Scola's Tony-winning play is officially headed to HBO and HBO Max next year. The special was filmed
01:13pretty recently during the show's July 28th performance in London's West End with Escola back
01:18in the starring role. And of course, the Broadway production is still going strong in NYC with
01:22hack star Meg Stalter currently taking center stage. So yes, O'Mary has officially entered its streaming
01:28era. Now for some Marvel news. THR can exclusively reveal that Gen V and Scream 7 star Asa Gurman is
01:35in
01:35final talks to join the upcoming X-Men movie. Here's where it gets interesting though. So Gurman was
01:40originally in the mix to play Cyclops. As we know, that role ultimately went to Kit Conner, but Marvel
01:46apparently liked Gurman enough to find him another mutant. He's now in talks to play Warren Worthington III,
01:51better known as Angel. Marvel declined to comment. And we've got something new at The Hollywood
01:56Reporter. So THR has teamed up with Sportico for Game Recognize Game, a new series pairing Hollywood
02:03stars with the sports superstars they genuinely admire. And the conversations get personal fast.
02:08First up, Oscar winner Mahershala Ali and NBA star Jalen Brown talking faith, fear, frustration,
02:15and what it really means to leave a legacy.
02:17I think it's a fear still that's instilled in talented people's brains that if I
02:21use my abilities beyond what people are comfortable for, there's going to be major pushback.
02:27Right. And for me, the reason why I'm comfortable doing it because I just don't care.
02:33Yeah. I feel like that is going to be your legacy on some level.
02:38Then episode two brings together off-campus star Belmont Camilli and NHL phenom Macklin Celebrini.
02:44And somehow they get from relationships to multi-million dollar contracts really quickly.
02:59You can watch both full episodes now on THR.com and our YouTube channel. And for more behind
03:05the scenes on the making of Game Recognize Game and a preview of what to expect from Monday's
03:10Emmys, you can check out the THR News Podcast on Spotify.
03:13I'm Tiffany Taylor. And this is The Hollywood Reporter News.
