Kevin Rankin talks about playing Aloysius “Wish” Aiken on R.J. Decker and explains why the character has become part of the family. Rankin offers a closer look at Wish and his place within R.J.’s inner circle.  R.J. Decker stars Scott Speedman as a disgraced newspaper photographer turned private investigator in South Florida. Season 2 picks up after Victor Ochoa is found murdered with R.J. Emi and the rest of their circle suddenly among the primary suspects.  R.J. Decker Season 2 premieres September 15, 2026, on ABC with new episodes streaming the following day on Hulu and Disney+.

00:00In the last season, I think Wish was starting to feel a little bit more a part of a family,

00:07which I guess I'm assuming Wish doesn't really have a lot of around, becoming part of a team.

00:14And I know that he idolizes RJ in a lot of ways, and I think he wants to get into

00:20that line of work.

00:21And I think he's just trying to creep his way into that business a little bit.

00:26So yeah, I think that their relationships solidified a little bit more.

00:31You know, now instead of being prison brothers, we're freedom brothers.

00:34I'm sure that's what RJ would agree with.
