00:19okay good afternoon and thank you for joining us we will take the usual format today and begin
00:26with James Fundra and Sky Sports News
00:28for me it's good that both they feel entitled to this to this award for both they are enjoying
00:47themselves playing with their with the team playing with each other they enjoy when the other one that
00:54makes good things for for the team and and we're respecting that but so happy that it is happening
01:02and that early days it's a we have a good partnership there as well with your linking
01:08with them it's it's a strength that we have
01:12How much do you feel like their strong relationship off the pitch is helping them connect on the pitch?
01:18I would say a lot because even before playing together they were so connected and for sure we were
01:31following this this connection to happen for a few weeks before the transfer did happen and
01:38Cole was very influential and he played an important role Morgan as well the club as well we
01:44we are happy that we are happy that this has came to where it is right now
01:50has Morgan exceeded your expectations in terms of how quickly he settled in here?
01:59He's adapted quite well very quick for sure it was a target and it was a strategic decision on us
02:07that
02:07we got a few players that they were ready to compete and ready to have an instant impact in the
02:13team
02:14Morgan was for sure the top one and we were expecting that but for sure the way it has happened
02:24it's been great
02:25and he's feeling great he's enjoying his game his football his connection with the team
02:31The whole city manager joked that the only way to stop your front line is by kicking them
02:37At your very best do you think that your front line could be impossible to defend against?
02:42Let's not talk about those big words impossible in football it's too big words
02:47we face tomorrow game with the same respect we did last week against Arsenal
02:52they are seven points, no goal conceded, they will be hard to beat
02:58they have their weapons as well with transition set pieces
03:04they have the belief the coach is doing a great job so it's going to be hard
03:08and we'll have to be at our best to beat the whole tomorrow
03:11You've spoken about wanting to be more solid and balanced
03:14can you remain as good going forward whilst tightening up the advantage?
03:18That's the goal, that's the goal
03:19this is the focus, this is the work, this is the process that we are
03:23we want to be more competitive to be as good or even better in attack
03:29because I think that there is room for improvement
03:31and to have the balance to feel solid as well and to feel strong in defence
03:36we want not to concede that many goals
03:41and that's a work of everyone from the strikers to the goalkeeper
03:46In terms of team use, is Moises Caicedo likely to be available?
03:50No, not yet, not yet
03:51let's see for Brentford but luckily not the moment to take risk with him
03:59not yet, we are not there yet
04:00And finally, it looks like there soon could be a change in the ownership structure for the club
04:06what do you know about that and would you expect any change to impact your working environment?
04:12Not, I'm not the guy to give you information about those things
04:16nothing that I have, not all my knowledge
04:21so I'm working fine, I'm very happy since we started
04:25and how things have been working together, aligned
04:28and this is at the moment all I can say
04:31Thanks James, Nizar?
04:32I think there are three other players injured, I was wondering if they might be available
04:37Jordan Henderson
04:39No
04:40No, no, no
04:41The other thing I wanted to ask you about was more
04:43you know, do you not have much possession in some of the games
04:46against the Premier League opposition
04:47I was wondering how much of that is what's happening to you when you're trying to change things
04:52and how much of that is kind of the way you want to play?
04:56I like to have a mindset to adapt, to compete, to have clear that it's going to be hard each
05:06game
05:06and the context of each game is different
05:08we have scored so early in all the games
05:10we don't have to change for sure our approach of the game
05:13but knowing that we are in the process of many things
05:16I think that we are still on early days to know what this team for sure is going to be
05:22I think that we will develop many things
05:24we will develop with when players, important players they are joining
05:28they are able to play
05:30so we are having this feeling that we are competing well
05:35but some things that we can do better for sure
05:37Is possession a key part of what you were saying earlier?
05:43It's a key part but for me the key part is to create chances
05:47to have chances to win games
05:51not to concede that many chances
05:52and sometimes for sure with the ball you can control better
05:57but sometimes you need to be able to feel that you are controlling when you have the ball
06:01because the opponents are good
06:03and the context and the competition is really hard
06:07Thanks Nizar
06:08Jake?
06:10When the fixtures came out in June
06:12and you saw you were playing hard game four
06:15could you have expected they would be ahead of you, unbeaten?
06:20Why not? Why not?
06:21They deserve to be where they are
06:24they are
06:26they have played against United, Coventry and against Villa
06:32and they have done it really well
06:34they have shown that they have built a very clear idea of what they want
06:39how they want to compete
06:42with players that they were already last year there
06:45a few other players that they came new
06:48but the mentality on
06:50they want to fight with everything to get their goal
06:54that I guess that is to stay in the Premier League
06:57and they are doing well
06:58and tomorrow is the chance for us to try to beat them
07:01first one in the league
07:02and as a result their manager was named Premier League Manager of the Month
07:06as a manager who is also new to this league
07:09what kind of job is he doing?
07:12How impressive is it?
07:13Not just this year
07:14for me to get a promotion from Championship to Premier League
07:18it's a big, big success
07:21so well done from this award
07:24but very well done from the promotion from last year
07:27and what they are doing is great
07:29and tomorrow we are prepared
07:32we are ready
07:33there is not going to be a complacency from us
07:37we will have full respect for them
07:39and we know that it will be hard to beat them
07:43but if we do things well
07:44if we complete and we play on our level
07:46I think that we have a good chance
07:48Just lastly, you mentioned that Cole Parler was influential
07:52in bringing Morgan Rodgers perhaps to the club in some way
07:55I just wonder in your career as a player
07:57did you ever have an influence over another player coming?
08:02Probably, but not that much as Cole
08:06Thanks Jake
08:07Simon
08:08Just to officially follow up my question
08:11on Tuesday
08:12when is Jordan and Emmergers going to be available?
08:16Not tomorrow
08:19we hope that they can be for Brentford
08:23and we will see
08:24maybe for next week we have the same date again
08:29hopefully I will tell you no more, no more, no more dates
08:33and you have the final question
08:34they will be, that's my wish at the moment
08:54for me he is a winger, you can call him winger, wing back
08:58because he has many qualities, he can play on the last line
09:02he can defend on the first line
09:04so he has this capacity to do many things
09:10as well he is good on 1v1, he is scoring goals
09:13he has a fantastic work rate
09:15he connects very well with the players around
09:19so I knew him well from watching many games from Chelsea
09:25but with him you know that he is going to compete
09:28and you want this kind of friends in your team
09:30and I am very happy with Pedro the work he is doing
09:35thanks Simon, cameras off please
