00:00Governor Newsom, Haven with the Associated Press.
00:03We wanted to get your reaction on the President's promise to give $5,000 to anyone.
00:0820 grand in my pocket.
00:09Well, actually 25, so I'm looking forward to the check.
00:14And, you know, my wife said, don't spend it.
00:18Come on.
00:19I mean, it's sort of pathetic and sad at the same time.
00:23Pathetic because it's just bull****.
00:26And sad that he had to go in front of people and basically bribe them.
00:32I mean, that's how desperate he is to hold on to power.
00:35He knows his presidency's de facto over, as we know it, this November.
00:38He's going to do everything he can to rig the election.
00:40In the absence of that, he wanted to buy everybody off.
00:42He said, if you vote for us, then I'll give you $5,000.
00:45I mean, there's laws about that.
00:48But it's just made up.
00:51You know, what, $1.2, $3 trillion?
00:56Come on, man.
00:57So it's just what a sideshow.
01:00Lake Ontario, Lake America, New America.
01:04Come on.
01:06It's a $105, $110 barrel of gasoline.
01:11I mean, this is serious.
01:12You know, the PPI numbers that came out today.
01:16What's happening in this country in terms of cost of living, mortgage rates,
01:20likelihood that we may see higher interest rates than we've even seen today.
01:24This president is, this is it.
01:28This is November.
01:28This is the whole ballgame.
01:30And I say that, you know, not as a partisan, just as an American.
01:35This is what we're celebrating, 250th anniversary of the, you know, co-equal branches of government.
01:41Popular sovereignty.
01:42And so all those are on the line.
01:44And so that's why we drew the lines differently in California with Prop 50,
01:48because we want to meet this moment.
01:50And we recognize how somber and serious it is.
01:52He's not serious.
01:55But I think the American people are, and they're going to turn out record numbers this November.
