00:00Anya was there before we were there. So we didn't, we didn't, I would say we didn't cast her. She
00:04cast us. Reese had found the book and put it in the, you know, Reese, the Reese Witherspoon book club.
00:10And then she and Lauren at Hello Sunshine attached Anya to it. And then they sent me the book and
00:16then I got involved and then I got Cassie involved. So it was always Anya. There's not a part of
00:22this that Cassie and I developed that wasn't with Anya in mind.
00:25So she's been the character from day one. We even heard from Marissa that she had always pictured Anya Taylor
00:31-Joy as well, the author of the book. So it was always going to be Anya and when we wrote
00:36to Anya.
00:38That's really interesting. It's definitely rare. I was curious how kind of following up to that, how did that maybe
00:45like change the writing process at all? And did she, was she there as a producer? Did she give any
00:52like specific note that may have, that may have changed the story in any way?
00:58Yes. I mean, she informed a lot of it every step of the way, but early days, she joined our
01:03writer's room for like maybe the first couple of weeks of the writer's room. She would join in the mornings
01:08for like a couple hours. And during those days, like it's just blue sky, all ideas. There's no bad idea.
01:14And we're pitching stuff. And Anya was really, really helpful in like letting us hone in on, no, this is
01:20who I think she is and no, this is what I think she would do.
01:22And so she was really informative in those, those early, early days. And then, you know, in terms of the
01:28pilot, she was really adamant that she wanted to drop in to like almost a real time pilot that is
01:34a full sprint. So I could, I could give you a plethora of examples, but she just weighed in wardrobe,
01:39cuts, music, all of it. She has exquisite taste and she, she was like the tastemaker of this show.
