00:00Now it's a sit down with Gary Oldman. Hi Gary. Season six of Slow Horses is almost here.
00:07You've been playing your character Jackson Lamb since 2020. After all that time, how is Sir Gary
00:13similar to Lamb and how are you different? I did shower this morning. I did wash my hair.
00:20I try and watch what I eat. I was a smoker but you know he does all those things that
00:28I think that's why we like him, isn't it? I have a small sort of nucleus of friends,
00:36very small, that I've known for a very long time and I think I'm a loyal friend and Jackson is,
00:47even though he gives the team a hard time, he is incredibly loyal to his Slow Horses.
00:54When it hits the fan, I think he would take a bullet for them.
01:00If your deaths are not clear by the time I get back, I will set fire to them and you
01:05too.
01:06And have you settled into the Lamb look, aka the long hair?
01:09It sort of is what it is now. Yeah. I made a decision not to have a wig.
01:18And wigs can be amazing. I mean, standish, you know. Saskia Reeves doesn't look at anything like
01:26that. But I just look at it as dead hair's dead hair, you know. And it would mean putting so
01:34much
01:34product into the wig. And you're forever being touched up. I've been there. Makeup. And so I
01:46wanted to free myself of that. I wanted to be able to get into a makeup chair, put a bit
01:53of grease in
01:54my hair, you know, put some broken veins on my nose. And, um, and I'm, I'm so upset.
02:03Do I look like a give a f**k?
02:05You've previously stated that you would be happy to have Jackson Lamb as your final role.
02:10Do you still feel this way?
02:11I partly, I said that in part because, um, I was enjoying, obviously I enjoy playing the role,
02:22but I liked the company of the people. If something's jiving, you can't, you know, I mean,
02:29everything's going to come to an end. Quit. No, seriously. No, seriously. I want you to quit.
02:36Since I've said that, since I said that, I did a play. So there we are. I'm probably not ready
02:41yet.
02:41So, um, we'll see what the future holds.
