00:12Speaking at the Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas, Trump said the conflict with Iran was
00:17necessary because Tehran was perhaps two, maybe three weeks away from having a nuclear weapon.
00:23He also appeared to acknowledge that the war had hurt the U.S. economy before explaining
00:28why he believed he had to start the conflict. Trump urged the voters to treat the midterms as
00:33if he were personally on the ballot, highlighting around 35 key House and Senate races and promising
00:40to visit those states. He also attacked Democrats as radical left Democrats, warning that the country
00:46could spend a decade recovering if they won. Trump then placed a $5,000 Trump dividend to every adult
00:54if Republicans retain control of Congress. And here is my promise. If the Republicans win the
01:00House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them, because of our economic,
01:08tremendous economic success, I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of
01:15America for $5,000. The proposal could cost at least $1 trillion and would require congressional approval.
