00:00Did the Mahabharata actually happen?
00:02See, something happened yesterday, right, in my experience.
00:08And my intention is to use everything that I have to drive home a point.
00:14I'll use everything that I have into an instrument of teaching.
00:19So I'll narrate that incident in a way that it becomes educational.
00:26That's how the epics are.
00:30Obviously, there is a factual skeleton there.
00:34But the factual skeleton has been fleshed up with a lot of stuff that has been put to educate you.
00:44If you'll ask me whether somebody called Arjun really existed, I would say yes.
00:50If you'd ask, did Arjun actually do all the things that are mentioned in the Mahabharata, I'll say no.
00:59So the skeleton is factual.
01:01All else is Ved Vyas.
01:04Did he want to teach you history?
01:07Mahabharata is not meant to teach you history.
01:09It is meant to teach you something way higher.
01:12The point is, are you learning something from it?
01:15The point is not whether it actually happened.
01:18The point is not whether it actually happened.
