00:00Right, I literally test drivers for a living,
00:02and while all the new stuff is great,
00:04I know that not everyone, including myself,
00:06you want to see what they pay me here at Golf Monthly.
00:08It has £600 plus to spend on a driver.
00:10So here's a list of five drivers you can get
00:12for under £200 at Golf Club for cash
00:14that I think, now I know, will still do a great job for you.
00:17First up, the TaylorMade M2.
00:20Now, I could have gone for either the 2016
00:21or the 2017 version here.
00:24It doesn't really matter, to be honest,
00:26but I'd put for the 2017.
00:28I just loved the colorway, the shaping of the head,
00:31and the crown in particular really caught my eye.
00:33This was a ball speed machine,
00:35and incredibly forgiving for its time.
00:37Rory McIlroy loved the TaylorMade M2.
00:39You can pick this up for some bargain prices,
00:41and that is why it's my choice.
00:43Right, the Ping G400.
00:44Aside from the Ping G430 Max 10K,
00:47this might be my favorite Ping driver of all time.
00:50Firstly, the colorway, absolutely extraordinary.
00:52The charcoal and copper absolutely popped,
00:55and then the top, the crown of that club,
00:57looks like it could have been designed by Spider-Man himself.
01:00This was only 445 cc, so a little bit more squat,
01:04but it was about as stable as a sumo wrestler.
01:06It's still relevant today.
01:08It's won a PGA Tour event as recently as last year
01:10in the bag of Adam Schenk, and you can get it as cheap as chips.
01:13The Callaway Rogue ST.
01:15Now, this is a bit of an if-you-know-you-know driver, this one.
01:18Those of you who like your cricket,
01:19this is kind of the Freddy Flintoff of old drivers,
01:22and all around, it had ball speed, it had stability,
01:24it had maneuverability, and once again,
01:27incredibly relevant to this day.
01:29Still in the bag of Akshay Bhatia,
01:31who's regularly winning PGA Tour events,
01:33you can get it at an incredibly low price.
01:35Still looks cool, still got the ball speed,
01:37you will not go wrong here.
01:38The Cobra F9 Speedback.
01:40Now, with its CNC milled face here,
01:42this was light years ahead of its time.
01:45Raw distance output, it was loud, it was brash,
01:48its ball speed can live up to anything today from 2026,
01:51so grab yourself a bargain on this one.
01:53The TaylorMade Sim, this is an absolute cult classic.
01:56Now, the asymmetric sole design on this club
01:58had players reporting a serious uptick in swing speed,
02:01and the color contrast between the banner strip
02:04and the crown made this incredibly easy to line up.
02:06The forward CG and heavy sliding weight at the front
02:09made this a really forward CG, low-spinning bomber,
02:12and if it's made the bag of an all-time favorite
02:14of Ian Fraser, then it's good enough for me.
