00:00Does solar power cause house fires?
00:02If you've seen viral videos from Nigeria, you might think so.
00:06But experts say the real problem is often something else.
00:09Poor wiring, low-quality equipment, unqualified installers.
00:13As power cuts and fuel prices push more Nigerians towards solar energy, demand is booming.
00:19But SAFG isn't just about buying solar panels, it's about installing them correctly.
00:24That's why experts are calling for stricter standards in certified technicians.
00:28According to Nigeria's electricity safety agency, NEMSA, solar systems can be safe and
00:33reliable with the right products and qualified installers.
00:37The lesson?
00:38Don't just ask how much a solar system costs, watch out for quality and get the right person
00:43to install them.
00:44Because the future of clean energy depends not only on access, but on trust.
