00:09What a great way to experience Lima!
00:12Our guide, Andy, picked us up at our hotel in Miraflores.
00:17Oscar, our driver, expertly negotiated the Lima traffic throughout the day.
00:23Our first stop was Pachacomac, a Priyanka site south of Lima.
00:28Pachacomac has a beautiful museum full of centuries-old pieces.
00:33Andy explained the history of the site and guided us around archaeological ruins.
00:38The site has stunning views of the ocean.
00:41After Pachacomac we drove to Barranco and had lunch at a family-run Peruvian restaurant.
00:47The food was delicious.
00:49We walked around the neighborhood and got a great feel for everyday life in Peru.
00:54After our lunch, we drove to downtown Lima to explore the sites.
01:00Andy expertly guided us through the streets, stopping to explain the history and significance of the many buildings, and even
01:08a few protesters.
01:09We loved the convent of San Francisco.
01:13It was gorgeous.
01:14The catacombs were a little creepy, but it was fun to explore.
01:18Finally, we stopped at the Magic Water Circuit Park.
01:23It was packed with Peruvians, mainly families.
01:27It was great to experience it without other tourists.
01:31The circuit consists of a movie or light show projected on some fountains.
01:36It was fun to watch.
01:38We got back to our hotel around 8 o'clock, completely exhausted.
01:43It was a great day.
01:45Andy was a terrific guide.
01:47He knew so much about Peruvian history and the political situation.
01:52He was smart and fun.
01:54He also helped us find a cheap suitcase to use because my husband's collapsed on our trip.
02:00I can't say enough good things about him.
02:04My friend and I had an awesome time on this tour.
02:08Nico was our tour guide and he did an excellent job.
02:12There were many highlights of this tour.
02:14The first includes the excellent vehicle we were driven in, which was air-conditioned.
02:20The next was that Nico knew so much about the history at the Pachacamac Temple.
02:25We asked him so many questions and I was genuinely surprised by how much he knew.
02:31I expected him to not know the answer to many questions, but he always did.
02:36We also loved the Peruvian meal we were provided in Barranco, and were able to taste several dishes while also
02:44visiting the bridge of size and seeing the many murals and graffiti in the area.
02:48In the downtown part of the tour, we tasted many types of local alcohol including the famous Pisco and were
02:56able to see catacombs under the cathedral.
02:59Finally, finishing the day at the Magic Waters circuit was a real treat.
03:04Honestly, this was the equivalent of three plus tours in one and felt like an excellent choice.
03:10I would highly recommend this tour to anyone and would love to spend a day with Nico again.
03:16Thank you Nico.
03:19Andrea and her driver were outstanding.
03:22This tour was awesome and a great way to see the city of Lima.
03:26We visited all the stops advertised and feel it was a really great value for our money.
03:31The only thing we did not do was learn how to make the piece go sour, but everything else as
03:37advertised was visited.
03:39I did three tours in Lima and each one was different even though there were overlapping stops.
03:45Each tour guide gave a different perspective.
03:49I highly recommend this tour especially for those of you who are afraid of the idea of walking around in
03:54Lima.
03:55Do not be.
03:57The city is safer than walking around in the US.
04:00The highlight was the water fountain show.
04:03It was great, really unique and a great day to end a long day.
