A mosque located within the Saharanpur District Magistrate collectorate complex in Uttar Pradesh has been demolished following a court order. The demolition drive was carried out early in the morning, leading to political reactions across parties. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi questioned the administrative action, stating that religious freedom, property rights, and due process were disregarded despite the mosque committee presenting historical records from 1911 showing over a century of continuous prayer. Owaisi argued that the mosque pre-dated the collectorate complex and questioned whether places of worship can be razed on flimsy grounds without proper legal protection. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav also posted a cryptic reaction on the matter.

00:59And he's come out to raise several questions and also slam the very government and the courts for this very
01:06decision itself as we speak.
01:08He has come out to say, and I quote, okay, before we in fact go back to what he said,
01:13let me bring in Abdul Vashir, who's joining us back on the broadcast to in fact understand a bit more
01:17of the context here.

01:55he meant.
01:55He said that the incident has raised serious questions over religious freedom, property rights, and new process.
02:01The key question now is, can a place of worship with such a long documented history be demolished without proper
02:07legal protection, is what he claimed.

02:27fine morning and a third position over immovable properties, is what he said.
