00:00More breaking news coming in. This is AIMIM chief slamming Saranpur Mosque demolition.
00:06OSC comes out to say, and I quote, freedom of religion not applicable to Muslims.
00:10Now places of worship bulldozed on flimsy ground. The mosque came first, collected it later.
00:16Cannot bulldoze Masjidpur, you have an itch. My religious freedom independent of your mercy.
00:23This is what the AIMIM chief, Asuddin OSC, has come out to comment as the demolition took place earlier in
00:31the day.
00:31In fact, the order came in yesterday itself from the court and since last night, the demolition drive had been
00:38underway
00:38and the mosque has been raised to the ground in Saranpur district magistrate. Complex that is.
00:45Now, politics ever since has been not just looming, now snowballing over the matter.
00:50Initially, there was a cryptic message from Akhilesh Adhav, the SP chief.
00:53Now it is Asuddin OSC, the AIMIM chief, who's also mounted an attack on over the same issue.
00:59And he's come out to raise several questions and also slam the very government and the courts for this very
01:06decision itself as we speak.
01:08He has come out to say, and I quote, okay, before we in fact go back to what he said,
01:13let me bring in Abdul Vashir, who's joining us back on the broadcast to in fact understand a bit more
01:17of the context here.
01:18Abdul, this is what OSC has come out to say with regards to that demolition that took place in Saranpur,
01:23in Uttar Pradesh.
01:25He's asked several questions about practicing one's own faith.
01:30He's even said that this mosque came way before the complex was built.
01:33So how is it that you're raising it now?
01:36Well, what we're learning is that AIMIM chief, Asuddin OSC, speaking on the Saharanpur mosque demolition ground,
01:43he said that the Saharanpur electric mosque was demolished at 5 a.m. in the morning,
01:47despite the mosque committee presenting records dating back to 1911 and claiming over a century of continuous prayer to what
01:55he meant.
01:55He said that the incident has raised serious questions over religious freedom, property rights, and new process.
02:01The key question now is, can a place of worship with such a long documented history be demolished without proper
02:07legal protection, is what he claimed.
02:08Now, this is the reaction that is coming out from AIMIMC, Asuddin OSC, who has raised questions about the fact
02:16of the document that is here that dated back to 1911, is what he claimed.
02:22He said that the Limitations Act does not ordinarily allow the government an unlimited period to wake up on one
02:27fine morning and a third position over immovable properties, is what he said.
02:31Now, he came down heavily on this particular issue, stating that this is completely, you know, the religious freedom is
02:40not dependent on your mercy, is what he said.
02:45Right, Abdul.
02:46Well, viewers, this is what we're learning at this given point of time with regards to this very story.
