00:00Here are the stories you need to know as you head into the weekend.
00:02Indie Navaretti is booked and busy, okay? Fresh off landing the role of Rogue in Marvel's
00:08upcoming X-Men movie, the Breakout Obsession star has already lined up her next big project.
00:13Navaretti is set to star in the sci-fi thriller The Waffle House Index,
00:17which was just picked up by Apple Original Films. And get this, she's not just starring,
00:21she'll also executive produce for the first time. So now she's a Marvel superhero,
00:25a sci-fi leading lady, and an executive producer. Yeah, that resume is leveling up fast.
00:31Miley is back, and apparently one big change this week just wasn't enough for her.
00:35Days after dropping her famous last name, the singer just dropped the first single
00:39and music video from her upcoming album, Bass Persuades.
00:45The title track is a full-on synth pop rush, and the video gives a sultry Miley,
00:50sharp choreography, and a whole lot of dancers, with Miley at the center of it all.
00:54The full 10-track album arrives on September 18th, and the next month she's taking over
00:58the Hollywood Bowl for just two nights to perform Bass Persuades.
01:02But Miley, come on, you're at the Bowl, you have to give us some of the classics, right?
01:07Party in the USA, we need it, we can't stop. Those are the songs we want to hear.
01:12And Bass Persuades, of course. But what song do you think absolutely has to make the set list?
01:17Let me know in the comments.
01:18Suno has hit stop on an ad featuring Mary J. Blige after one pretty major problem.
01:24Mary apparently never approved it. The controversial AI music platform says it
01:28coordinated with someone who claimed to officially represent the singer,
01:31only to later learn that wasn't actually the case.
01:33Suno has now pulled the ad, while Blige's real team declined to comment any further.
01:38Definitely not the kind of remix anyone was asking for.
01:41Heated Rivalry fans, season two just got even more interesting.
01:44Kevin Zegers, Mila Jovovich, and Paul Gross are officially joining the cast.
01:49Zegers will play the head coach of Ottawa's pro hockey team, where Ilya plays, in season two.
01:53Jovovich is stepping in as the therapist Ilya begins seeing, and Gross will play the commissioner
01:58of the professional hockey league. A new coach, a new therapist, and the league commissioner?
02:02Yeah, Ilya's life just got a little more complicated.
02:05So what was the song of the summer? According to Spotify, Ariana Grande takes the crown.
02:11Her pedal track, Hate That I Made You Love Me, was officially the platform's
02:14most-streamed song of the season.
02:21Ariana celebrated the news and thanked her fans for listening on Instagram.
02:24But we want to hear from you. What was your song of the summer?
02:28Were you listening to Zara Larson? Maybe Olivia Rodrigo?
02:31Did you have a somber summer? Let us know in the comments.
