00:00Just explain to us how this works. You are an app and also a website. Do users like Christine and
00:04myself just go into the app and start typing out what we want? Yes, you can download the app. You
00:09can actually tell us a little bit about yourself if you want, or if you don't have the patience,
00:13you can skip it. But once we understand a little bit about you, we can actually serve you better.
00:17And then you chat with the agent and you describe what you're looking for, and we give you results
00:22and you can refine through a number of ways. And this is already live right now. What have you
00:27seen so far with back to school shopping? How are people using it? So it's interesting because back
00:32to school shopping, you know, is expected to be the biggest ever season this year. And in spite of
00:37the economy, about over 60 percent of people are saying they're going to use AI to help them. So I
00:43think we've all become used to using ChatGPT and other tools. What we're finding is that people are
00:47asking for specific brands. They're asking for things like I want to look like Troy Bolton, you
00:52know, when I go back to high school. They're saying I want low rise jeans, not the like 2026 low
00:59rise,
00:59but the 2000s low rise. And what's beautiful about, you know, this kind of shopping is that
01:04you can say specifically what you're looking for. Yeah. Well, so it seems like personalization is
01:08really a big selling point of the app and the website, right? I mean, how are you finding the
01:13reception, especially for parents who are already stressed out trying to back to school shopping,
01:17and then, you know, their, their kid says, I want to look like Troy Bolton for the first day of
01:21school. How do you think that helps then as a feature for, for parents using it? I think it
01:26provides a little bit more color around what your kid wants. And so whether it's a, you know,
01:31your teenager or it's you because you're doing drop off and you want to look great at drop off
01:35because we see both of those kinds of searches. What it allows you to do is, you know, sort of
01:40optimize for what matters to you, whether it's price or body type. And so I think it takes a little
01:45bit of the stress out of shopping because you can just explain what you need. Yeah. Well, and talk to
01:50us
01:50about some of the optimization that you mentioned here, because I can imagine one of the stresses
01:55that parents undergo is when trying to look for stuff, you know, they don't have time to look
01:59for reviews, right? To see what is the best product for whatever their kid is asking for. And so do
02:05you
02:05have any features that help optimize it and make that process just more efficient? One of the great
02:09things we have is a way for you to sort of see more like something. So if your kid says,
02:14oh my gosh,
02:14I love this, but let's say it's too expensive. You can go find this and then you can see all
02:19the
02:19versions of that that are more affordable. And that has been a really popular tool. The dupe.
02:24The dupe. Exactly. Exactly. So that's for people who know what they want. When I shop, I often don't
02:29know what I want. And I need exclusions. I need to be able to say, I need a formal dress
02:34for a wedding,
02:34but I don't want something that's strapless. I don't want something that's too tight. And I don't want
02:38something that's too frilly. Is that something I can enter into the daydream search bar? Things I don't want?
02:43Yes. And it works really well. Yeah. It's something you can't do anywhere else. So it's
02:48pretty cool. How do you address the inconsistent sizing across brands? Because that's a big problem
02:52for women's wear. It is. It is. And we'll get better at that over time. You need a lot of
02:56data
02:57to get good at that. But what we do do is if you tell us your sizes, we can just
03:01show you the things
03:01that are in your size. So you're not landing on like the perfect product only to find it's out of
03:06stock
03:06in the size that you wear. So we offer that feature. Yeah. Yeah. Now, I think one of the
03:11things that I think a lot of consumers dealing with AI embedded into their shopping platforms,
03:17like Amazon has their own, is this idea of the trust that people would put in the
03:23recommendations that the AI assistant is giving them. And so how could daydream kind of mitigate
03:30that, you know, internal doubt that some customers might be experiencing if the AI assistant gives them
03:35a recommendation and they're like, do I trust this? Yeah. Well, two things I would say. One is we only
03:40work with real brands that we know ship, deliver, take returns. So I think that's one big thing is
03:46everyone who's on our platform, which is 10,000 brands are safe and reliable brands. I would say
03:52the second is that we don't make money by selling ads or by showing specific brands. We're literally just
03:58trying to find the best match for you. And so it's very much of a sort of in the consumer
04:02best interest is
04:04the way the recommendation is made. Now, daydream has surpassed 1.5 million shoppers. What have you
04:10learned about whether AI shopping actually creates some repeat behavior? Yeah. What we've learned is
04:14that I would say about half the people come in and they actually know what they want to say. So,
04:20you
04:20know, they get really detailed. They give you a lot of context. And the other half are kind of like,
04:24uh, what do I do? And so we have browse as well. So if you come in, you can see
04:29some ideas and we can help
04:31guide you. And then as you get deeper in your search, you can start to refine either telling
04:35the agent what you want or looking for more things like that item. Um, and so we have definitely seen
04:42that some people need help getting started and we provide those tools. How are you making your money?
04:46Because it's free for me to use. It is free for you to use. If you buy something,
04:50then the merchant that you buy it from gives us a cut of the sale.
