00:30I think if you know nothing about old Hollywood, it's a great Minions movie, but if you know anything about
00:36old films, about old Hollywood, about the silent film era, you will really find this movie to be very special.
00:42Yeah, so I play a character named Dort, who is either a robot there to take over the world and
00:50destroy Earth, or he's a guy in a robot costume.
00:53And the audience is not exactly sure in the beginning who he is. And so it was really fun for
00:59me because I'm playing this kind of strong robot character, but also occasionally a nervous person, perhaps inside a suit.

01:11When did they call you to join the Minions universe?
01:15I feel like it must have been over a year ago or two years ago. You know, the process takes
01:23so long.
01:25But I have like two hour sessions every couple of months and I go into a room and work with
01:31Pierre Coffin, the director, and we just play for a couple of hours.
01:35And then all of a sudden, you know, the movie is here and it's just, it's amazing to see it
01:42all up on the screen. It's amazing.
01:46My character takes you, everyone in present day, she's a tour guide, and she starts the movie off and sets
01:53up going back into Hollywood.
01:57So she is the audience, sort of takes you along into this wonderful story about the Minions in Hollywood.
02:06Oh, I like the fact that it's set in Hollywood. It's a very hard time for Hollywood.
02:12It's a wonderful love letter of Hollywood. It reminds us all of how many great movies that have come out
02:20of Hollywood.
02:21There's so many wonderful Easter eggs in the Minions and Monsters that reference Casablanca, reference, you know, Charlie Chaplin, Buster
02:32Keaton.
02:33So many great references to the beauty and magic of Hollywood.
02:37That's a wonderful book of Hollywood.
