00:00500 unruly teens absolutely wrecked a Colorado shopping complex over the weekend and it was all
00:05shockingly filmed for social media. Hundreds of teens gathered at the Hoffman Heights Shopping
00:09Center in Aurora, Colorado for an unsanctioned sporting event organized by influencer Grady
00:14Farrick, a 22-year-old from western New York who fancies himself a professional content creator
00:18with over 300,000 Instagram followers. The gathering quickly devolved into chaos, erupting
00:24with fights and damaging property, all of which were captured by rowdy teenagers screaming and
00:29egging on the wild behavior. Aurora police dispatched 70 officers to break up the out-of-control group
00:35which was comprised mostly of teenagers between 14 and 17 years old. But instead of dispersing
00:40peacefully, the melee spilled into nearby businesses, trashing up Burger King and a grocery store.
00:45The chief of police said that his department won't quote tolerate groups taking over roadways,
00:50disrupting businesses, damaging property, or stealing under the belief that being a part of
00:54a large crowd provides anonymity. It does not. Investigators are reviewing all of that chaotic
00:59social media footage and other videos to identify the teens responsible for criminal activity
01:03and possibly press charges. This type of scene is far from unique, sadly. These teen takeovers are a
01:08growing viral trend happening all over the country in places like Chicago, Dallas, and LA. A teen was
01:14even shot and injured during a similar bout of teen takeover mayhem in Clearwater, Florida earlier this year.
