00:00While we do not always see eye to eye, we respect one another, remain open to discussing everything, including advancing
00:08the UK reset with the European Union.
00:13Always closer and together.
00:16And this is why I really do hope that this Entente Amical you announced will inspire this new path forward.
00:24And so today, as we stand before this tapestry, in the heart of London, I would like to conclude with
00:31this thought a thousand years ago.
00:34This work depicted a crossing that changed history.
00:37And today it crosses the channel through a tunnel that we built together, a reminder of what our two countries
00:43can achieve when they join forces.
00:46If anyone remembers what we did here today, decades or even centuries from now, I would like to believe that
00:53they will remember not only the story told by Bayeux Tapistri,
00:57but also the tale of two countries which, after centuries of shared history, chose to forge a bond as close
01:07as the threads of this thousand-year-old embroidery.
01:12Long live culture. Long live the friendship between France and the United Kingdom.
01:18Long vie à l'entente cordiale et longue vie à l'entente amicale.
