00:11So Apple has a new CEO and for the first time in 15 years, besides Tim Cook,
00:17somebody new will be taking charge of the most valuable tech company in the world.
00:21This person's name is John Turnus.
00:24Now, unlike Tim Cook, John Turnus is an engineer and for the past 25 years,
00:28he has been pivotal and instrumental in the launch of some of the most innovative Apple products.
00:33So, who is John Turnus?
00:35Why has Apple hired him?
00:37And what happens to the future of Apple from here on?
00:42John Turnus joined Apple in 2001.
00:45He joined the company's product design team as a mechanical engineer and steadily climbed the ranks.
00:53By 2013, he was Apple's vice president of hardware engineering.
00:58And in 2021, he became the company's senior vice president of hardware engineering,
01:03putting him in charge of the teams responsible for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, and eventually Vision Pro.
01:12Apple says Turnus has overseen hardware engineering for every generation of iPad
01:17and played a key role in the development of AirPods.
01:21He was also an important part of Apple's transition from Intel processors to its own Apple Silicon.
01:30And that's probably the biggest clue to why Apple chose him,
01:34because Apple's board isn't sure about bringing in an outsider to shake things up.
01:40Tim Cook's Apple was largely about scaling.
01:43He took the iPhone, iPad, and Mac and turned them into enormous businesses
01:48while creating new categories like the Apple Watch and AirPods and pushing Apple deeper into services.
01:55Turnus comes in with a very different resume.
01:58He is a product guy.
02:00And that could mean Apple becomes more aggressive about hardware again.
02:05So what could change?
02:08Think thinner devices, more powerful Apple Silicon, and completely new categories.
02:13But Apple is entering the Turnus era at a time when it's shaping its AI roadmap.
02:19And Turnus doesn't come from Apple's AI or software organization.
02:27That could make his relationship with Apple's software and AI leadership extremely important.
02:34Turnus has worked with Steve Jobs and worked under Tim Cook
02:38and has been involved in some of Apple's most important hardware decisions.
02:42And that experience matters a lot.
02:46So Apple truly believes that John Turnus is the man who will take Apple into a new future,
02:52something we have never seen before.
02:53But the question we have to ask ourselves,
02:55will John refine the iPhone better or will he offer something completely different?
03:01Because that is exactly what Apple fans at least will be expecting
03:04from the new CEO at Apple to give something very new, very refreshing.

03:16The Apple fans are really excited about this change in the leadership of Apple
03:20and they are expecting some innovative changes also in the Apple iPhones
03:24and of course in the other devices from Apple as well.
