00:00You guys, this is the best day we've f***ing life!
00:04We are donating $10 million to be given directly to these 10 non-profit partners.
00:12When I had the idea for this festival, I called each of them and I was so overwhelmed by their
00:16enthusiasm for the idea.
00:18I got a phone call from Olivia.
00:20It was quite mad because I was just in my flat in London and when your manager says,
00:25would it be okay if I give Olivia Rodrigo your number, it's not something you really expect.
00:29So I was just like, uh, absolutely, yeah.
00:32We do this for women! We do this for the gays! We do this for trans women! We love you,
00:37thank you!
00:37There's something really special about a very young artist with a massive platform
00:42who's actually standing for some real, real important change. F*** capitalism. Sorry!
00:47We're taking you to the first ever Daisy Chain feels in Billboard All Access.
00:53When you're gonna show!
00:59We hopped in a car with Lego Group to head to Irvine, California.
01:03And once we arrived at the fest, we kicked the day off with the beautiful and talented Eli.
01:08I was just saying, you're beautiful, you're amazing, keep doing what you're doing, you're super talented.
01:12I've been a fan of you for a little bit, but, yeah.
01:19I got a phone call on the day that I found out she wanted to have a phone call.
01:25I was like, what is happening? I had no idea she knew my music.
01:29I'm like, maybe Conan Gray showed her, like, maybe one of the gays.
01:32Like, I don't know. I'm like, who did that?
01:34I was very moved by the mission statement that she had.
01:37I was very moved by the heart to unite women and not tear women down.
01:42The unethical and abhorrent inhumane nature of a world with billionaires possessing more than half the wealth of the entire
01:49world,
01:49while roughly 2 to 3 billion human beings on Earth live without all of their basic human needs met.
01:55It was important to me because opportunities like this are very rare.
02:00It is such a moving dream to be able to sing on the stage.
02:05And, like, that's for, like, my heart and that's for, like, me and my personal development.
02:09But then, like, to know if you're going to even be in front of anyone, there's, like, a responsibility, I
02:14feel.
02:14And Olivia and the festival took that responsibility very seriously.
02:18The Daisy Chain Reaction Space is where festival goers can go to learn more about the organizations that are at
02:23the heart of Daisy Chain.
02:24You could visit all 10 of the orgs Olivia partnered with at Daisy Chain Reaction,
02:28including Baby2Baby, who got introduced at the festival by Cat's Eye,
02:32the Black Moms Matter Alliance, and more.
02:35Fans personalized totes and educated themselves on the moving causes.
02:40It feels really incredible to have played a part in history and the amount of money that's been raised.
02:46You're around people who are like-minded and love the arts but also want to support so many people,
02:52even as a black woman, being a part of this in a pop space and being able to support charities
02:58with women who look like me.
02:59And I understand their struggle.
03:01I think it's really beautiful to be a part of it.
03:07It was really awesome.
03:09It was really fun.
03:11Everyone was just so up for it.
03:12So many people came.
03:13It was insane.
03:15And it was really beautiful to see.
03:16We then took a break from the fest to hang out with LEGO Group at their artist garden,
03:20which had photo ops, Olivia LEGO sets like the concert moon that we're obsessed with.
03:25And fans even got to make their own pieces that were included in a mural that was completed by the
03:30day's end.
03:31I'm so excited to see Dochi.
03:40Dochi was one of the hottest sets of the day in all the way.
03:43Dochi.
03:50I'm also super, super, super incredibly excited for Chapel.
03:54I've never seen her.
03:55I was so moved by like Gov Ball era, Tiny Desk era.
03:59That like revitalized my love for pop music.
04:13And after hitting the Pink Pony Club, we needed to know fave Olivia tracks ahead of her headlining set.
04:20Favorite crime, maggots with brains, expectation, cigarette smoke.
04:25Cigarette smoke song is just so, she means business about songwriting.
04:29You know, she's studied the greats. Really, really amazing.
04:32It's like Bohemian Rhapsody.
04:34She's got a deal, right?
04:36She's got a deal, right?
04:39Fuckin' spot!
04:41Olivia brought out all the big stars.
04:44Sadie Chin Fields is an annual music festival inspired by the groundbreaking Lilith Fair, founded by Sarah McLachlan.
04:51She was actually the first person I called when I started thinking about doing this.
04:54Sarah and Liv honored Dolly Parton.
04:56It's in the arms of the angel, fly away from here.
05:09We also got Alanis Morissette.
05:11It's like baby, I'm not your honey, you're made for supreme.
05:20It's already there.
05:22In this iconic moment.
05:23And I'm really excited to see Olivia. I really am hoping that her and Stevie Nicks do something in that
05:29blimp up there.
05:30But time makes you bolder, children get older, I'm getting older too.
05:42What a beautiful day it was. Thank you, Daisy Chin Fields. And we can't wait to be back next year.
05:47I really believe that giving women the tools to decide their own futures and live healthy lives free of violence
05:52and discrimination is the most effective tool we have at changing the world for the better.
05:57We'll be right back next year.
05:59We'll be right back next year.
06:00We'll be right back next year.
06:01We'll be right back next year.
06:01We'll be right back next year.
06:01We'll be right back next year.
06:02We'll be right back next year.
06:02We'll be right back next year.
06:02We'll be right back next year.
