00:00The odds of us having a snake on set, usually pretty low, but today they're in our favor.
00:08Hey, I'm Kristen. And I'm Allison. And welcome to the set of our Sunrise on the Reaping digital
00:13cover. We wanted to create a living renaissance fresco painting. As you can see, we are inspired
00:17by the arena in the book. Our garden is lush, it's alive, it's gorgeous. But for our second
00:22motion shot, it's the inverse. Paradise lost. So for this set, we wanted to create the exact
00:29inverse of the Paradise set by creating an environment that's completely overrun by
00:34decay and ruin. There's soot and ash on the ground as a nod to District 12. And to give
00:40this rubble effect, I actually used shredded tire. For the lighting, we really wanted this
00:47to be darker, moodier. We have a roving light finding its subject almost like someone's on
00:52the run. And then we added some nice lightning as well to give it that spooky vibe. So we've
00:57got a full house today. We're shooting with Joseph Zadda, McKenna Grace, Whitney Peake,
01:01Elle Fanning, and the legendary Glenn Close. And two snakes. We have Ava. And then we have
01:07a Dama. They're both boa constrictors, but they're different colors. This is a more typical color
01:13pattern, the browns and blacks and tans, which is quite beautiful. And the other one is an albino,
01:18so it looks like a yellowy orange. We've never worked with a snake before, but it is a paid
01:23actor.
01:23I'm glad the snake is far away from me, but the snake is turning in a killer performance
01:27right now. Doing a great job.
