A catastrophic flood, triggered by rising water levels in the Bhote Kosi and Trishuli rivers originating from Tibet, has caused widespread devastation across parts of Nepal. Infrastructure, including highways connecting to the Rasuwa district, water supplies, hydro projects, and local businesses, has been completely swept away or buried under massive debris. In towns like Dunge Market, buildings have been turned to rubble, and thousands of residents are unaccounted for as search and rescue operations struggle to clear heavy mud. In response to the crisis, volunteer organisations and rescue teams have set up relief camps in areas like Bidur, providing food, water, and medical supplies to displaced survivors.
