00:00Would you like to know how much I made in Congress?
00:03This has been something heavily discussed. As a matter of fact, it's heavily discussed by everyone about all members of
00:08Congress.
00:08I think it's a great topic. One of my favorite committees I served on in Congress was oversight.
00:15And I love the transparency there. So, we're going to talk about the Congressional Paycheck.
00:22You guys are not going to believe this. This literally made me laugh today.
00:27So, let me tell you what I just found out. I found out that my name is on the website
00:33for the big GOP convention being planned in Dallas, Texas, coming up for the midterms here.
00:40And so, yeah, my name's on the speakers list. And I found that absolutely hysterically funny.
00:47And I was like, well, what kind of speech would I even give? I mean, imagine being a Republican campaigning
00:52right now.
00:53What do you campaign on? Do you campaign on no more foreign wars while the president drug us into a
00:59war with Iran on behalf of Israel?
01:02Is that what you campaign on? Do you campaign on affordability, lowering the cost of housing and groceries and gasoline?
01:11That's pretty hard to do, especially under full Republican control, affordability has not gotten better.
01:18Cost of housing hasn't gotten better. And gas and diesel is not better at all because of the president's broken
01:24campaign promises and betrayal.
01:26Of him running off and going to war with Iran and bombing a children school, you know, blowing up a
01:34bunch of kids and then totally denying it or claiming it's under investigation.
01:39You know, what else what else do you campaign on? Oh, wait, stopping the trans agenda on children?
01:45Well, you know, it's kind of tough when Senate Republicans refuse to pick up the bill.
01:51My bill, as a matter of fact, that would make it a felony to perform transgender surgeries and treatments on
01:57anyone under the age of 18.
01:59My bill passed the House, but Senate Republicans haven't touched it. And oddly enough, Vice President J.D. Vance, that
02:07was actually he was the leading Senate sponsor when he was a senator.
02:12So odd they haven't touched that one. Maybe they really don't mean it. What do you campaign on the Maha
02:17agenda?
02:18Oh, wait, that they gave full protection to glyphosate. Kind of hard to campaign on Maha on that one.
02:25And and covid vaccines are still running rampant because it still has FDA approval.
02:31And then they approved another MRNA vaccine for the flu. Jeez.
02:35I mean, where do you go from there? Oh, we could talk about like putting America first in our food
02:41supply, except the president just threw American cattlemen under the bus and is now going to import a bunch of
02:46foreign mystery meat, I guess, from Argentina.
02:49Oddly enough, where they just sent the meat back because it had problems.
02:53Even China rejected Argentina's meat. So it's pretty tough to find things to campaign on.
02:58I can't imagine what kind of speech I would give, which is why I won't be giving a speech at
03:04the GOP midterm convention in Dallas.
03:07So they need to take my name off of the list. I'm not a Democrat.
03:11I don't support Democrats either, but I certainly won't support President Trump and Republicans when they are not supporting the
03:19American people.
