00:45You love your work.
00:45Yes.
00:47Connecting people, it's a virtuous mission.
00:49Because some people are awkward,
00:51and they get to be their best self when they're alone at their keyboard.
00:54So what's the problem?
00:55Something changed.
00:56Cops are being assholes because I'm white.
00:59I wanted to find out who radicalized my friend.
01:01And?
01:02We did.
01:05Facebook wants you to stay on the site for as long as possible.
01:09And two years ago, the algorithm was changed.
01:11Wait.
01:12Mark.
01:12We're trying to address hate speech, and we're going to amplify and turbocharge it.
01:18The debate is over.

01:31She's going to get sued into small pieces.
01:33We have 102 hours to get everything.
01:36Evidence of drug cartels.
01:38And a study that hasn't been made public on Instagram and teen mental health.
01:43He has a source?
01:44He won't give me his name, but he works here.

01:53With each new file she opens, she's creating a footprint.
01:56How hard is it to get powerful people to change something they're doing?
02:00You have to cause pain.
02:01You have to make it hurt.
02:04Enough!
02:05People can post what they want.
02:06We're not the rest.
02:07We're the public square.
02:08Are you crazy?
02:09You're like a crossing guard standing in front of a school, but you're not doing anything with your arms.
02:12So the cars are just plowing down the children.
02:18You know what you wrote in that girl's life.
02:20Well, she's going to be fine.
