Craig Lewis, affectionately known as Lewy, participated in the London Marathon with a heartfelt purpose. Carrying 45.7 kilograms on his back at mile 16, he symbolized the 457 soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan. This remarkable endeavor aimed to raise funds for the Royal British Legion, ultimately generating £14,000 to honor their legacy. Upon completing his journey, Lewy was met with an emotional surprise orchestrated by his friend, along with the help of his wife and friend Helen, who promised to greet him at the finish line and fulfilled her commitment.
