00:10Rubicon, where we were last month.
00:12It's a new, different racecourse area, many of the sailors know it from the other classes, but this is summer,
00:18trade winds are in and different, and we've got 13 boats racing, 11 different nations.
00:22It's been a real race against time for the Gladiator to be ready after that rig problem. Let's go racing.
00:29So race number one, the breeze is at 0 to 5 degrees, around about 10 knots on the start line.
00:35Prevetsa come off the start line nicely, and close to the right end of the line is Gladiator.
00:39Vayu are over the start line, have to recross, and Prevetsa have a game plan, very definitely working the left
00:45side, and they go round the top mark, just ahead of Gladiator, round in third is Allegra.
00:49Platoon Evasion in fourth, solid first run from Prevetsa, they lead through the Leward Gate, with Gladiator in second, Allegra
00:57third.
00:58Vayu making a nice recovery after having been over the start line, come round in fourth place at the Leward
01:04Gate.
01:05Through the finish line, it's the second race win this season for Prevetsa.
01:09Through in second are Vayu, Gladiator get third, and a nice recovery from Sled.
01:14They were down in tenth at one point, come through for a good fourth, and a very, very close finish
01:19line between Sled, Allegra, and Platoon Evasion, fourth, fifth, and sixth.
01:25So breeze has gone slightly further to the left, we're now in a breeze which is west of north.
01:30A little bit more pressure for race two on the start line, it's quite even off the line, actually.
01:34The best start is from Alcado, Setalar, which is going best on the first upwind.
01:39Around the top mark, it's Alcado leading, Sled in second, Paprek third, Prevetsa going well, until Prevetsa lose their kite
01:46in the water at just the wrong time.
01:48Alpha Plus have done really well out on that left side, coming down the first run.
01:53Through the Leward Gate, Alpha Plus are leading on the left-hand mark, looking upwind.
01:56Big gains up the second upwind to Vayu, who got a really nice shift to getting into contention.
02:02But down the final run of race two, it's Alpha Plus coming through the finish line with a nice win
02:07for them.
02:08Platoon Aviation get through in second, Vayu come through in third and lead the regatta.
