00:13The chassis on the Bentayga is all new. It features a new air suspension system combined
00:20with continuous damping control and this system gives us the possibility to offer four different
00:26ride heights. Traditionally SUVs with a high centre of gravity will roll a lot in corners.
00:34To stop them rolling in corners you'd have to make the springs very stiff. If the springs
00:39are very stiff you don't get the wheel articulation you need to give good performance off-road.
00:44With our active anti-roll control system we're able to effectively make the roll stiffness
00:49extremely stiff on road giving us that fantastic handling but off-road we can effectively decouple
00:55each wheel which gives us big wheel articulation and excellent traction off-road.
01:00With one drive dynamics controller the driver is able to access eight different modes, four
01:06on-road modes and four off-road modes. By choosing those different options he's effectively changing
01:13his damping, his ride height, his steering, ESC, the electronic stability program, he's changing
01:20his engine characteristics and his transmission characteristics. So all those driver tunable
01:26features of the chassis and powertrain are accessible through this one controller. A combination of
01:33on-road performance and off-road performance means that this car is going to be the best of
01:39any SEB in the world.
