00:00Before he became Satan, he was heaven's brightest creation.
00:06Before demons, before temptation, before the fall of mankind, there was Lucifer.
00:18Millions of angels surrounded the throne of the Almighty.
00:22Seraphim with burning wings, cherubim crying out,
00:26Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty, Isaiah 6.3.
00:32The heavens echoed with worship, with obedience, with glory, and among all the beings in heaven.
00:41One stood above the rest, not because he was God, but because he was beautiful beyond imagination.
00:48The Bible calls him the morning star, the seal of perfection, full of wisdom, perfect in beauty.
00:57His name meant light bringer, Lucifer.
01:01He was not created evil.
01:03He was created glorious.
01:06Ezekiel describes him adorned with precious stones.
01:09When he moved, the glory of heaven reflected through him like living fire.
01:14He stood near the throne itself.
01:16He led worship in the courts of heaven.
01:18And for ages untold, everything was perfect.
01:22Until something unthinkable happened.
01:25Not on earth, not among sinful men, but in heaven itself.
01:29Lucifer stopped looking at God and began looking at himself.
01:35The light that once reflected the creator's glory became consumed with its own beauty.
01:40And in that moment, pride was born.
01:45What followed was the greatest rebellion in all of creation.
01:49A war in heaven.
01:52Angels divided against angels.
01:54Glory collapsing into darkness.
01:57And the most beautiful being ever created would become the enemy of God himself.
02:03How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning.
02:09This is the story of the fall of Lucifer.
02:16Before rebellion entered heaven, there was perfect peace.
02:21The throne of God stood at the center of all creation, surrounded by unapproachable light.
02:27The prophet Daniel described it this way.
02:30His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.
02:36Lightning flowed from his presence.
02:39Power shook the heavens, and countless angels surrounded him endlessly.
02:44The courts of heaven overflowed with worship.
02:46Day and night, the angels cried,
02:49Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty.
02:53Revelation 4, 8
02:55Every creature in heaven knew one truth.
02:58God alone was worthy of glory.
03:00And among all the angels of heaven, one stood above the rest.
03:05Lucifer.
03:06Ezekiel gives us a mysterious glimpse into who he once was.
03:12You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
03:20Ezekiel 28, 12
03:23Lucifer was not ordinary.
03:25He was the anointed guardian cherub, a being created with extraordinary beauty, wisdom, and authority.
03:32Every precious stone adorned him, carnelian, chrysalite, emerald, topaz, onyx.
03:40The light of heaven reflected through him like living fire.
03:44He was a masterpiece of creation.
03:46When he moved through the courts of heaven, glory seemed to move with him.
03:52When he lifted his voice in worship, the heavens trembled with praise.
03:57He stood close to the throne of God himself, closer than any other created being.
04:03And scripture says something astonishing about him.
04:07You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created.
04:12Ezekiel 28, 15
04:15Lucifer was not born corrupted.
04:18He was not created wicked.
04:19He was created perfect.
04:22For ages beyond human understanding, he served faithfully in the presence of God.
04:28He bowed before the throne.
04:30He reflected heaven's glory back to its creator.
04:33He led worship among the heavenly host.
04:36Everything in heaven moved in harmony.
04:40Until something began to change inside him.
04:44A thought, a desire, a poison so dangerous, it could corrupt even the beauty of heaven itself.
04:54Pride.
04:55Lucifer had spent ages looking upon the glory of God.
05:00But one day, he stopped looking at the creator and started looking at himself.
05:08At first, the change was invisible.
05:11No angel heard a rebellion.
05:13No trumpet sounded in heaven.
05:16The corruption began silently, inside the heart of Lucifer.
05:22For ages, he had reflected the glory of God, like a mirror reflecting sunlight.
05:28But slowly, the mirror began admiring its own reflection.
05:33Lucifer looked upon himself.
05:34He saw the brilliance woven into his being, the emeralds across his chest, the gold that shimmered through his form,
05:43the radiance that surrounded him wherever he moved, and somewhere deep within him.
05:50A terrible thought was born.
05:52What if this glory belonged to him?
05:56Ezekiel records the exact moment pride poisoned his heart.
06:00Your heart became proud on account of your beauty.
06:04And you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor.
06:09Ezekiel 28, 17
06:12Lucifer forgot something critical.
06:14His beauty was never his own.
06:17It was a gift.
06:18The light shining through him came from God.
06:22And the more Lucifer admired himself,
06:25the less satisfied he became with simply serving heaven.
06:30He began looking at the angels differently.
06:33He saw them bow before the throne.
06:36He heard them sing praises to the Almighty.
06:39He watched all of heaven revolve around God.
06:43And jealousy ignited inside him like fire.
06:47Why should worship belong to God alone?
06:50Why should he lead worship instead of receiving it?
07:03The prophet Isaiah reveals the rebellion growing inside Lucifer's heart.
07:12You said in your heart,
07:15I will ascend to the heavens.
07:17I will raise my throne above the stars of God.
07:22Isaiah 14, 13
07:24The stars of God referred to the angels.
07:28Lucifer no longer wanted to stand among them.
07:30He wanted dominion over them.
07:33I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly.
07:37Isaiah 14, 13
07:39He wanted the center of worship.
07:42The center of glory.
07:43The center of heaven itself.
07:46I will ascend above the tops of the clouds.
07:49Isaiah 14, 14
07:51And then came the words that sealed his doom forever.
07:55The ultimate rebellion.
07:57I will make myself like the Most High.
08:00Isaiah 14, 14
08:03Not a servant.
08:05Not a worship leader.
08:06Not an angel.
08:08A god.
08:09Lucifer was no longer satisfied standing near the throne.
08:13He wanted the throne itself.
08:16And the moment pride fully consumed him,
08:19heaven would never be the same again.
08:22But rebellion requires followers.
08:25Lucifer could not challenge the throne of heaven alone.
08:28And so,
08:30the deception began.
08:32Not with swords.
08:34Not with violence.
08:36But with whispers.
08:38Lucifer moved among the heavenly host,
08:40speaking quietly in the courts of heaven.
08:43The same voice that once led worship,
08:46now spread corruption.
08:48He planted dangerous thoughts into the minds of angels.
08:52Questions.
08:53Doubts.
08:54Discontent.
08:56Why should absolute authority belong to God,
08:59alone?
09:00Why should they serve forever?
09:02Why should Lucifer,
09:04the greatest among them,
09:06remain beneath the throne?
09:07The poison that had corrupted Lucifer's heart
09:11began spreading through heaven itself.
09:14He spoke of freedom,
09:16of greatness,
09:17of rising higher.
09:18And many angels listened.
09:21Because evil rarely begins as obvious darkness.
09:25It often begins disguised as wisdom and ambition.
09:31The book of Revelation describes the rebellion symbolically.
09:35And his tale swept a third of the stars out of the sky.
09:41Revelation 12.4
09:43A third of heaven followed Lucifer.
09:46Angels who once sang together in perfect harmony,
09:50now stood divided.
09:52Some remained faithful to the Creator.
09:54Others pledged loyalty to Lucifer.
09:58The courts of heaven filled with tension.
10:01The whispers became open defiance.
10:04The rebellion was no longer hidden.
10:07The lines had been drawn.
10:10Revelation declares,
10:12and war broke out in heaven.
10:14Michael and his angels fought against the dragon.
10:18Revelation 12.7
10:20Lucifer unleashed his power against the kingdom of God.
10:24The angel once covered in beauty.
10:27Now burned with pride and rage.
10:30The heavens shook with conflict.
10:32Light collided against rebellion.
10:35Creation witnessed something unimaginable.
10:37War.
10:38In heaven.
10:40But Lucifer had made one fatal mistake.
10:43He believed created power could overcome the Creator.
10:47And no rebellion against God.
10:50could ever succeed.
10:51The war ended with judgment.
10:53Lucifer would not rise above the throne.
10:57He would fall beneath it.
11:00The rebellion ended in catastrophe.
11:03Lucifer and the angels who followed him
11:05could not overcome the power of God.
11:09Revelation says,
11:10but he was not strong enough.
11:12And they lost their place in heaven.
11:16Revelation 12.8
11:18Then came the judgment.
11:20The moment that changed the universe.
11:23Forever.
11:24So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God.
11:27And I expelled you, guardian cherub.
11:30Ezekiel 28.16
11:33Lucifer was cast out of heaven.
11:36The highest angel became the greatest failure in creation.
11:40Isaiah describes the shock of heaven itself.
11:43How you are fallen from heaven,
11:46O Lucifer, son of the morning.
11:49Isaiah 14.12
11:51The one once called Lightbringer.
11:53Now fell through darkness.
11:55The one once clothed in beauty.
11:58Now became corrupted by pride.
12:01Jesus himself later declared,
12:03I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
12:07Luke 10.18
12:09Lucifer plummeted from the glory of God
12:11like a blazing star collapsing from the sky.
12:15His beauty twisted.
12:16His wisdom corrupted.
12:18His holiness destroyed.
12:20The light that once reflected heaven became darkness.
12:25And the angels who followed him fell with him.
12:29No songs remained.
12:31No worship.
12:32No glory.
12:34Only rebellion.
12:39Revelation says the great dragon was hurled down.
12:43That ancient serpent called the devil or Satan
12:46who leads the whole world astray.
12:50Revelation 12.9
12:52Lucifer was no longer the morning star.
12:55No longer the guardian cherub.
12:58No longer heaven's worship leader.
13:01Now he had a new name.
13:03Satan.
13:04The adversary.
13:05The accuser.
13:07The deceiver.
13:08And though he had lost heaven,
13:10he had not lost his pride.
13:13His hatred burned stronger than ever.
13:16He knew he could never defeat God.
13:18But there was something else he could attack.
13:21Something deeply loved by the creator.
13:25Humanity.
13:26The beings made in the image of God himself.
13:29And so the rebellion that began in heaven would soon spread to earth.
13:36The tragedy of Lucifer's fall was about to become the tragedy of mankind.
13:43The earth God created was beautiful, peaceful, untouched by suffering.
13:49The garden of Eden overflowed with life, rivers, fruit, and perfect harmony between mankind and their creator.
13:57Adam and Eve walked with God without fear.
14:01There was no death, no shame, no pain.
14:04But heaven's rebellion had not ended.
14:08It had merely changed locations, somewhere beyond the garden.
14:12A fallen being watched.
14:14The one who had once stood near the throne of God.
14:18Now crept through creation in darkness.
14:21And he carried the same poison that had destroyed him in heaven.
14:26Pride.
14:27Jealousy.
14:28Rebellion.
14:29Satan could no longer strike the creator directly.
14:33So he turned toward the creator's beloved creation.
14:36Humanity.
14:38Genesis describes the moment evil entered the garden.
14:41Now, the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made.
14:48Genesis 3.
14:50Satan approached Eve not with violence, but with deception.
14:55The same method he had used in heaven.
14:58Whispers.
14:59Doubt.
15:00Questions.
15:01Did God really say?
15:04Genesis 3.1.
15:06The strategy had not changed.
15:09In heaven, Lucifer convinced angels to question God's authority.
15:14Now he tempted humanity to do the same.
15:18And then came the lie that mirrored his own rebellion perfectly.
15:22You will not certainly die.
15:25Genesis 3.4.
15:27Your eyes will be opened and you will be like God.
15:31Genesis 3.5.
15:33Like God.
15:34Those were the exact desires that had corrupted Lucifer himself.
15:38The desire to rise higher.
15:41The desire to take God's place.
15:43The poison that destroyed heaven now entered earth.
15:47Adam and Eve believed the lie.
15:50And sin entered humanity for the very first time.
15:54Shame replaced innocence.
15:56Fear replaced peace.
15:58Death entered creation.
16:00The rebellion that began beside God's throne had now spread to mankind and the enemy who once fell from heaven
16:08became the deceiver of the world.
16:11But even in humanity's darkest moment, God spoke a promise, a prophecy, a warning to Satan himself.
16:22Speaking to the serpent, God declared,
16:25He will crush your head and you will strike his heel.
16:28Genesis 3.15.
16:31From that moment forward, the story was no longer only about the fall of Lucifer.
16:37It became the story of humanity's redemption.
17:08It became the story of humanity.
17:09It became the story of creation.
17:09It is just the story of humanity's Zeus.
17:09It was the son of the modern civilization.
