00:15And this is something that I've cared about for a long time, since well before I came into politics actually.

00:28I think of the mum I recently met who lies awake at night because her daughter is being bullied online
00:33and is self-harming.
00:35Unable to live up to the images that she is bombarded with every single day.
00:40I think of a couple of dads that I've met who worry about who their kids are talking to and
00:44what they're actually being shown.
00:46And I think of the mums and dads right across this country who feel powerless,
00:50who feel like they simply cannot compete with an algorithm that has been designed to keep their children scrolling.
