00:04So a new era for TFC under Jens Bertel Ascu has promised the home fans dynamism pace and risk
00:11and Lyon looking to build upon last season's promise on the back of a slightly less stressful
00:17offseason than last year it is to lose it there traditional Violet Cup well dealt with
00:28back with Duranville slightly a wide pass and the charge is on here and a counter attack
00:36for Toulouse big chance here in the opening moments of well unfortunate for Jan Gaber
00:51there is without a goal in his last 13 Liga matches even though he did finish his top
00:59scorer for Toulouse last season with eight in the league and ten in all competitions
01:05there is Niklas Schmitz Toulouse now hoping he's over his injury problems it's a lovely ball
01:11it's Julio Vignolo while the angle was narrow and he didn't have much support in the middle
01:17and decided he had to go at his own but that's two decent sights of goal now for Toulouse and
01:23those
01:24balls over the top causing problems for the Lyon defence
01:27and he's looking very sprightly here's Jorgensen who pokes it past the defender and gets the ball
01:37across the face of goal nobody there to tap it in for Toulouse and then that turned off the arm
01:45of Remy
01:46Amber
01:50Toulouse quickly on with it low delivery but Jan Gaber rather snatched at that opportunity
02:06Thomas Jorgensen
02:07Thomas Jorgensen having a thunderous welcome from the Toulouse fans on debut as he prepares to take this corner
02:18it'll be the out swinger from the left footer Dane
02:22McKenzie and Nikolaisen poised to make their move it was Nikolaisen who went for it
02:29the subsequent foot race has been given by Toulouse
02:37more air this time on the way
02:42here's Vignolo oh he took a deflection off the frame of the goal surely it must go in
02:48Jorgensen couldn't put it between the posts and in the end Toulouse only have a quarter
02:55goodness me
03:01well credit to Remy Denkov
03:08that took a big deflection
03:13and Julian Vignolo so close
03:18after giving Toulouse the lead
03:26here's the long throw for Toulouse oh goodness me they're very nearly paid dividends
03:32and it was that man again Christophe
03:39managed to evade his marker and it just needed the deftest of touches
03:48where Drogo
03:51Douraville breaks for Narty here's Douraville who might have been offside yet flag does go up
03:58the referee acknowledges the flag but will allow play to continue because Guillaume rest is in
04:05a spin by Gabou
04:11decompressed into Lyon's defensive third
04:13threaded ball through and Hidalgo's shot
04:17yes just a little tape
04:19nice build-up play again though by Toulouse
04:22intelligent running by Hidalgo found that little pocket of space
04:28well the end of a first half that's been entertaining but uh produced no goals Remy
04:33Dekamp with one very good save after a deflection on Julian Vignolo's shot
04:39Jan Gabou's had a couple of opportunities as well Carl Budash-Kurwal just wide for Lyon
04:45no shortage of effort
04:51so goalless
04:53now get to the second half between Toulouse and Lyon
04:57both teams
04:59eager to start off the Mcdonald's league and campaign with
05:03a big three points
05:05Lyon of course having to
05:08balance their two different objectives with that system
05:11time
05:12now Chris Tape has got himself in a real tangle here
05:15Kyle Budash takes over looking to place it into that top corner
05:21and Toulouse a little lucky to survive the opening foray in the second half
05:26and then they look to go long for Vignolo but it's a rather inaccurate ball by Ishmael Diallo
05:34it's a tiny work by his midfield partner Caceres junior
05:39Gabou helps it on Tape
05:42Gabou that's where it breaks down for Toulouse
05:45Schmidt wins it back strong challenge Vignolo
05:51good build up by Toulouse that's a great win back by Nicholas Schmidt
05:58determined to win that ball
06:01Vignolo couldn't hit the target
06:04always rising
06:11has room on the right here for Kyle Budash and they've found him
06:15lovely first touch by the former knee swinger
06:19he's been the most impressive player today and again he's gonna go for goal ignored the run of Atakami
06:25gets a corner
06:29encouragement for Lyon in front of their traveling supporters and there are plenty of them here tonight
06:39Caceres junior to drive forward for Toulouse it's three on three here
06:44Diallo joining in to make it four on three Jorgensen might not need any of them still going still going
06:49oh
06:51that should have been one nil
06:55what a chance to put your name up in lights on debut they all fell away from him the defenders
07:03and the finish in the end just seemed regulation
07:08but he put it wide
07:15well the headlines were just shortly
07:18Jorgensen takes over for Toulouse it's a good run
07:21by the day
07:24going to wait for support to arrive
07:26but a clip ball over the top by Gabour and then fired wide
07:30by Santiago Hidalgo
07:36sat up nicely for the Argentine
07:39maybe just reaching a touch for it
07:48Mata sending it wide
07:50for Malik Fafada
07:54Ross took a deflection
07:56only partly away
07:59and they cycle through Atakami and Budash
08:03and Bidstra and Schultz
08:04and it's in
08:06the goal arrives through Noah Narty
08:12Leon have barely threatened
08:15but in the end they've found that little extra bit of quality
08:19and Noah Narty with just his third
08:23legal goal
08:24four-legged on makes it to lose nil
08:27Leon one
08:31come on boys
08:49well he started the game tonight for the first time since April
08:54and it was slick passing
08:57maybe a little bit of a question as to whether
09:00the father was offside but there's no way he was interfering with play
09:04and very carefully
09:07swept into the back of the net
09:10by Noah Narty
09:12candidates here tonight
09:15not just wearing the colours of Leon
09:18because they're leading the game either
09:20here's Jason Russell Rowe the Canadian international
09:24can't find Jorgenton Schmidt on the volley but
09:27not a very pretty one
09:29Atakami's throw
09:31Schultz was brave
09:32good pass by Tessman and it could open up here for Tolisso
09:35it's Malik Fafana
09:37cups inside one defender that'll do it
09:41fantastic finish
09:45Malik Fafana's first league end goal since October 2025
09:50when he scored against Toulouse at Group Palma Stadium
09:54Leon lost that night 2-1
09:56they're not going to lose tonight
09:58it's Toulouse Dill
10:00Leon 2
10:12and if he is going to Roma as per speculation
10:19a nice send-off in front of the Leon supporters his first touch was excellent
10:23and what about that for a finish
10:27a season really ruined by injury last time out
10:31but he's fit again now
10:32and that's what he's capable of
10:34and that's what he's capable of
10:36our home and host
10:47maybe a parting gift to those Leon supporters who knows
10:53quick glance at the watch from Guillaume Paradis
10:56and says
10:57that will do
10:59Paolo Fonseca celebrates
11:02normal service is resumed in this fixture
11:04after Toulouse's double last year
11:07Leon served notice even with an understrength starting 11
11:10that they'll again be a force to be reckoned with
11:12I don't know
