Durante una operación destinada a detener a un prófugo de 26 años por incumplir con su registro como delincuente sexual, nueve agentes del Servicio de Alguaciles de Estados Unidos (USMS) cayeron desde el segundo piso de un complejo residencial en Huntsville, Missouri.

El accidente ocurrió debido a que el peso de los elementos superó la resistencia del pasillo suspendido en el que se encontraban. Como resultado del desplome, siete de los "marshals" requirieron atención médica hospitalaria al presentar diversas lesiones, entre ellas fracturas, aunque ninguno se encuentra en situación delicada.
