A former chief executive officer of Lembaga Tabung Haji has been remanded for seven days to assist MACC investigations into the recent Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report.

The man, in his 60s, is among seven individuals detained or called in over RCI findings that flagged governance lapses at Tabung Haji between 2014 and 2020.

00:35This comes after the RCI report on Tabunghaji, released publicly on July 29, flagged serious lapses in the fund's management
00:44and governance between 2014 and 2020 and outlined 25 recommendations for reform.
00:51Sources say the individual is a well-known corporate figure who has held senior roles at several major Malaysian companies.
