00:33:16You should consider it an honor.
00:33:19Father, I entered the selection, too. Let me prove it. I'm not less than him.
00:33:26Look, not to crush your spirit, kid, but geniuses claw over each other for this. Every single year, only one
00:33:33will be selected to become a Dragon Knight. You really think you can best your brother?
00:33:40Delusional. Dragging that trash dragon along, too.
00:33:51Not trash. It's my partner! My brother!
00:34:07Go, then. I won't stop you. Embarrass the Hales out there, though, and you're no son of mine.

00:35:27If you are swept away by its presence, you fail.
00:35:29Stay on your feet, you advance.
00:35:44Can't take a little pressure?
00:35:46You'll never bond a dragon.
00:35:48Never become a Dragon Knight.
00:36:16This armor cost Father of Fortune.
00:36:18I'm Mage Enchantment's defense off the roots.
00:36:21This pressure means nothing.
00:36:22Not bad.
00:36:23Standing firm under Blaze's full pressure.
00:36:26Exceptional.
00:36:27That's the future Sanctuary Master for you.
00:36:34This Dragon's huge, but way weaker than Master's.
00:36:38I feel nothing, honestly.
00:36:43Pressure's probably faded by the time it reached that corner.
00:36:46My worthless half-brother sneaking through on a cheap trick.
00:36:50An embarrassment to the Hale name.
00:36:57Wait, isn't that Owen Howell?
00:36:58Why is he still on his feet?
00:37:00Standing.
00:37:00Look where.
00:37:01Cramped in the corner.
00:37:02Pressure probably never touched him.
00:37:03He snuck into round two.
00:37:05Shameless.
00:37:06How'd the Hales end up with that?
00:37:11This isn't fair.
00:37:12He stood so far back.
00:37:14Never did a thing.
00:37:15That's cheating.
00:37:20Dragging a trash pet dragon with him into the selection?
00:37:23Whoever's kid that is should be embarrassed of them herself.
00:37:25The Hales, I think.
00:37:26How'd the Hales end up with a son like that?
00:37:28Sneaking through like that.
00:37:30Humiliates the Hale name, that's for sure.
00:37:32Come now, Ellis.
00:37:33This is the brother.
00:37:34Spent a decade training in the mountains all just to cheat his way to victory.
00:37:38He's a master at it then.
00:37:40Sneaking past a great dragon's pressure like a rat.
00:37:43The Hale family sent sons.
00:37:46The sanctuary master's disciple must be remarkable.
00:37:50Outstanding.
00:37:51It must be Ellis then.
00:37:53He looks fit to lead the sanctuary.
00:37:56Round two.
00:37:57Combat trials.
00:37:59Simple rules.
00:38:01Draw lots.
00:38:02Pair off.
00:38:03Fight.
00:38:04Win advance.
00:38:05Lose.
00:38:06You're out.
00:38:07Show us what you've got.
00:38:19Number three.
00:38:21Whoever draws you is knocked out for sure.
00:38:23Doesn't matter who.
00:38:25Ellis Hale wins.
00:38:27Easy.
00:38:28Match three.
00:38:29Ellis Hale versus Owen Hale.
00:38:31The Hale brothers drawn against each other?
00:38:33Rough luck.
00:38:34Rough for who?
00:38:35It's bad for Owen.
00:38:36For Ellis though?
00:38:37Free pass to round three.
00:38:38You're right.
00:38:39Ellis is through for sure.
00:38:40Interesting.
00:38:41Sorry, brother.
00:38:42You walked right into my hands.
00:38:45Don't expect me to show mercy.
00:38:47Sothacer spoke true.
00:38:49Owen's return will bless Ellis.
00:38:51He was never any match for his brother.
00:38:54Go.
00:38:54Make that disgrace forfeit the second he's up there.
00:38:58Don't let Ellis waste his strength on him.
00:39:03Owen.
00:39:04The family head says forfeit now.
00:39:08Don't waste your brother's strength.
00:39:10Forfeit, not a chance.
00:39:21How dare you!
00:39:23That's an order from your father!
00:39:25Father wants a forfeit.
00:39:27Let Ellis bow out.
00:39:28I won't.
00:39:29You defying your own father!
00:39:33You will regret this!
00:39:36You will regret this!
00:39:43The Sanctuary Master's disciple, no doubt.
00:39:46Majestic.
00:39:47Facing off with the family rejecting his pet lizard.
00:39:50Maybe Blaze's power has a blind spot.
00:39:52Lucky brave.
00:39:53And so on.
00:39:58Forfeit now, brother.
00:39:59There's still time.
00:40:01Blades don't stop the familial bonds.
00:40:04Ellis, he was always such a gentleman.
00:40:07He is.
00:40:08Shame his half-brother doesn't know a gift when he sees one.
00:40:21That pet of yours.
00:40:23Cute.
00:40:26None of your business.
00:40:28Round two.
00:40:29Match three.
00:40:30Begin.
00:40:34You animal!
00:40:36Kneel!
00:40:37Owen!
00:40:38What do you think you're doing?
00:40:39The food in your belly, the clothes off your back, all from me!
00:40:43Ignoring my orders?
00:40:45Raising a fist against your own brother?
00:40:47Your brother's the Hale Air.
00:40:49Moonlight City's genius.
00:40:50Level 8, just five years old.
00:40:52Earned a silver badge at 16.
00:40:53And you?
00:40:54Your mother died because of you.
00:40:56Now you want me dead too?
00:41:01A curse on this family.
00:41:03I said all those years ago a baby that killed its mother would spell certain death for its father.
00:41:08Wasn't I right?
00:41:08Such a fine woman, his mother.
00:41:11How'd she give birth to this disgrace?
00:41:13His mother died of shame, I'm telling you!
00:41:16Hayes, calm down.
00:41:17That brat's not worth it.
00:41:19He's just riding Ellis' name for attention.
00:41:22Indulge his tantrum and he'll only get worse.
00:41:25Actions speak louder than words.
00:41:27Call the city guard.
00:41:28Give him a few dozen lashes, he'll fall in line.
00:41:35I just wanted to prove I'm not less than anyone.
00:41:47That's the future Sanctuary Master's father.
00:41:50What am I supposed to say?
00:41:52Watch that, Toad.
00:41:54I'm your old man!
00:41:55And this is how you talk to me?
00:41:57You are worse than an animal!
00:41:59You're an arrogant, conceited guy!
00:42:06Have you ever treated me as your son?
00:42:08You've been very clear.
00:42:09I'm worth less than a hair on Ellis' head to you.
00:42:12At least you throw your hunting dogs a bone.
00:42:14What did I ever get?
00:42:15What kind of father acts the way you do?
00:42:18You?
00:42:19Fine!
00:42:20Fine!
00:42:20Touch one hair on your brother's head, you're done with the hails forever!
00:42:24No son of mine, no name, no family, no roots!
00:42:27You'll be nothing but a stray raised by some nobody in the woods!
00:42:31A stray!
00:42:32A stray dog!
00:42:33The hails raised a stray dog!
00:42:37So that's why he wouldn't leave the platform.
00:42:39One last grab at glory?
00:42:40Shame.
00:42:41He's about to lose it all instead.
00:42:43Hayes, you want to kick him out?
00:42:44Send him my way!
00:42:45I need a guard dog and he's built for it!
00:42:51Everyone, hear me out.
00:42:53Owen's been troubled since he was a boy, but he's still hailed blood.
00:42:57He only wants to prove himself.
00:42:59I understand that as his brother.
00:43:02Listen to that!
00:43:03That's the bearing of a great house!
00:43:05Ellis, generous to a fault!
00:43:08Destined for greatness!
00:43:10Here's the deal, brother.
00:43:12Walk off this stage, grovel to father, I'll speak for you.
00:43:15Play smart and this ends easy.
00:43:18Embarrass me and you're gone for good.
00:43:20There are worse things than death.
00:43:22No one will mourn a stray dog.
00:43:24Then from this moment on, I'll renounce the hail name!
00:43:31Won't listen, will you?
00:43:32Don't blame me then.
00:43:33Let me show you real despair.
00:43:35Let me show you the dragon Lord Ferris gave me.
00:43:38Chose this dragon myself for the future Sanctuary Master.
00:43:43Maximizes his power right where he's at.
00:43:46Lord Ferris preparing a dragon for Ellis!
00:43:49The hails have a dragon knight!
00:43:51A real one!
00:43:55Heaven's a dragon before he's even a knight!
00:43:57Ellis, born lucky!
00:43:58I'm jealous.
00:43:59Wish a dragon knight thought that much of me!

00:50:18Your father sent you here, to Dragon's Hollow. You'll awaken your power or it'll kill you.
00:50:44I'm glad. Blessed with the Dragon Gods marking such a young age? Unheard of. It shows you a full level
00:50:51above Dragon Power.
00:51:03Ha! This kid's a fighter.
00:51:14Kids getting stronger by the day can barely hold him off. If he sees me bleeding, I'm finished. Some Sanctuary
00:51:21Master I'd be. Defeated by my own pupil.
00:51:40You have a letter from home. Take a look.
00:51:44Father's own hat? He remembers me after all. He wants me home!
00:51:51My worthless son home again. Will he really block Ellis's from ill fortune? Make my heir a Dragon Knight? Of
00:51:59course.
00:52:04Clan leader, the young master sent word back saying he survived the Dragon's Hollow and even taken a master.
00:52:17Trade one failure for a Dragon Knight? Now that's a bargain.
00:52:27Time to leave the Dragon's Hollow. Build some character, earn some scars. Moonlight City's selection is starting. Go enter it.
00:52:34One more thing. That gold mark of yours, don't call on it. Not unless you're dying, hear me?
00:52:39Understood, master.
00:52:51Wait for me.
00:53:03Let him go.
00:53:05Those two joined at the heap.
00:53:07Silas, your pupil went from powerless nobody to nearly your equal in just ten years.
00:53:12Six rings of the dragon god's mark. Only a Sanctuary Master's ever awoken that mark.
00:53:17He'll be the next Sanctuary Master, no question. Lucky he's stuck at six rings. One more, my title's his. Terrifying
00:53:24that talent.
00:53:25You're not getting any younger. He's catching up.
00:53:27This is embarrassing.
00:53:44Sanctuary Master, the boys from Moonlight City. Their selection's starting. Send someone to run it.
00:53:50My disciple will pass the selection. Genius or not, he'll walk the path like everyone else.
00:53:56Yes, Sanctuary Master.
00:54:34Look! A Dragon Knight! A real one! A Dragon Knight here? For the selection?
00:54:42If only I could be a Dragon Knight.
00:54:44Moonlight City ahead. The future Sanctuary Master's in there somewhere.
00:54:48Ferris, Moonlight City's selection is under your authority.
00:54:51One more thing. The Hale Patriarch's son is my only disciple. The next Sanctuary Master.
00:54:57Get him in. Whatever it takes. Don't disappoint me.
00:55:01As you command.
00:55:11Ellis! You're being honored by a Dragon Knight himself. Looks like you've already won their approval.
00:55:18Don't worry, Father. I'll be selected. I'll become a Dragon Knight. The Hale family will become the greatest family of
00:55:23Moonlight City.
00:55:24Good. Good. That's my boy. The Sir Stare called it. Call Owen home and the luck rolls in.
00:55:29The Hales! Soon to be the greatest family in Moonlight City! We'll all ride on Ellis' name!
00:55:37Father!
00:55:42Back, huh? Stand over there.
00:55:52Lord Ferris, here in person, to meet Ellis. Finally, a real Dragon Knight in this family.
00:56:08Lord Ferris came himself. He must approve of you already. I've had the finest armor, finest blade, all prepared. Tomorrow,
00:56:17hold nothing back. Show this city what a Hale heir's worth.
00:56:21Don't worry, Father. I'll make you proud.
00:56:25Oh, my little brother Owen's back.
00:56:27So after all those years in Dragon's Hollow, did you learn anything worth mentioning?
00:56:33I sent him up there to get him out of my hair, that's all. What could a backwoods herit possibly
00:56:37know about power?
00:56:39Look at you. Filthy. Ragged. Nothing like a Hale heir. Once your brother's a knight, you can be his squire.
00:56:46You should consider it an honor.
00:56:49Father, I... I entered the selection too. Let me prove it. I'm not less than him.
00:56:56Look, not to crush your spirit, kid, but geniuses claw over each other for this. Every single year, only one
00:57:03will be selected to become a Dragon Knight.
00:57:04You really think you can best your brother?
00:57:09Delusional. Dragging that trash dragon along too.
00:57:21Not trash! It's my partner! My brother!
00:57:37Go, then. I won't stop you. Embarrass the Hales out there, though, when you're no son of mine.
00:57:46And keep that mutt out of sight. Your brother's about to bond with a real dragon.
00:57:51When people see your lizard next to his, they'll laugh us out of the city!
00:58:00Watch from the stands tomorrow, brother. See how a real Hale heir becomes a Dragon Knight.
00:58:07As for you...
00:58:24Dragon Marshal Nemo made it clear. The Sanctuary Master's disciple is from the Hale family. My future master. Better mind
00:58:33my manners.
00:58:36Look! It's Ellis Hale! Heard a Dragon Knight paid the Hales a personal visit yesterday. Selection hasn't even started and
00:58:42Ellis is already halfway in the door.
00:58:44God, just comparing myself to him hurts.
00:58:47Everyone, today's selection will be splitted in press.
00:58:51Round one. The Dragon's Pressure. Dragon Marshal Lord Ferris' mount unleashes its power. If you are swept away by its
00:58:58presence, you fail. Stay on your feet, you advance.
00:59:01Round two!
00:59:14Can't take a little pressure? You'll never bond a dragon. Never become a Dragon Knight.
00:59:23Round two!
00:59:47This armor cost Father of Fortune.
00:59:49I mage Enchantment's defense off the roots.
00:59:51This pressure means nothing.
00:59:52Not bad.
00:59:53Standing firm under Blaze's full pressure, exceptional.
00:59:57That's the future Sanctuary Master for you.
01:00:05This dragon's huge, but way weaker than Master's.
01:00:08I feel nothing, honestly.
01:00:13Pressure's probably faded by the time it reached that corner.
01:00:16My worthless half-brother sneaking through on a cheap trick, an embarrassment to the
01:00:21Hale name.
01:00:27Wait!
01:00:28Isn't that Owen Howe?
01:00:29Why is he still on his feet?
01:00:30Standing.
01:00:30Look where.
01:00:31Cramped in the corner.
01:00:32Pressure probably never touched him.
01:00:33He snuck into round two.
01:00:35Shameless.
01:00:36How'd the Hales end up with that?
01:00:41This isn't fair.
01:00:42This isn't fair.
01:00:43He stood so far back.
01:00:44Nevelda's thing.
01:00:45That's cheating.
01:00:50Dragging a trash pet dragon with him into the selection?
01:00:53Whoever's kid that is should be embarrassed of them herself.
01:00:55The Hales, I think.
01:00:56How'd the Hales end up with a son like that?
01:00:57Sneaking through like that?
01:01:00Humiliates the Hale name, that's for sure.
01:01:02Come now, Ellis.
01:01:03This is the brother.
01:01:04Spent a decade training in the mountains all just to cheat his way to victory.
01:01:08Ha!
01:01:08He's a master at it, then.
01:01:10Sneaking past a great dragon's pressure like a rat.
01:01:13The Hale family sent sons.
01:01:15The Sanctuary Master's disciple must be remarkable, outstanding.
01:01:21It must be Ellis, then.
01:01:23He looks fit to lead the Sanctuary.
01:01:26Round two.
01:01:27Combat trials.
01:01:29Simple rules.
01:01:31Draw lots, pair off, fight.
01:01:34Win advance.
01:01:35Lose, you're out.
01:01:38Show us what you've got.
01:01:50Number three.
01:01:51Whoever draws you is knocked out for sure.
01:01:53Doesn't matter who.
01:01:55Ellis Hale wins.
01:01:57Easy.
01:01:58Match three.
01:01:59Ellis Hale versus Owen Hale.
01:02:01The Hale brothers drawn against each other?
01:02:03Rough luck.
01:02:04Rough for who?
01:02:05It's bad for Owen.
01:02:06For Ellis, though?
01:02:07Free pass to round three.
01:02:08You're right.
01:02:09Ellis is through for sure.
01:02:10Interesting.
01:02:11Sorry, brother.
01:02:12You walked right into my hands.
01:02:15Don't expect me to show mercy.
01:02:17Sothacer spoke true.
01:02:19Owen's return will bless Ellis.
01:02:21He was never any match for his brother.
01:02:24Go.
01:02:25Make that disgrace forfeit the second he's up there.
01:02:28Don't let Ellis waste his strength on him.
01:02:33Owen.
01:02:34The family head says forfeit now.
01:02:38Don't waste your brother's strength.
01:02:40Forfeit, not a chance.
01:02:51How dare you!
01:02:53That's an order from your father!
01:02:55Father wants a forfeit.
01:02:57Let Alice bow out.
01:02:58I won't.
01:03:00You defying your own father!
01:03:04You will regret this!
01:03:13The sanctuary master's disciple, no doubt.
01:03:16Majestic.
01:03:17Facing off with the family rejected his pet lizard.
01:03:20Maybe Blaze's power has a blind spot.
01:03:23Lucky brave, that's right.
01:03:28Forfeit now, brother.
01:03:29There's still time.
01:03:31Blades don't stop for familial bonds.
01:03:35Ellis, he was always such a gentleman.
01:03:37He is.
01:03:38Shame his half-brother doesn't know a gift when he sees one.
01:03:51That pet of yours.
01:03:54Cute.
01:03:56None of your business.
01:03:58Round two, match three, begin!
01:04:04You animal!
01:04:06Kneel!
01:04:07Owen!
01:04:08What do you think you're doing?
01:04:09The food in your belly, the clothes off your back, all from me!
01:04:13Ignoring my orders?
01:04:15Raising a fist against your own brother?
01:04:17Your brother's the Hail Air, Moonlight City's genius.
01:04:20Level eight, just five years old.
01:04:22Earned a silver badge at sixteen.
01:04:24And you?
01:04:24Your mother died because of you.
01:04:26Now you want me dead too?
01:04:31A curse on this family.
01:04:33I said all those years ago a baby that killed its mother would spell certain death for its father.
01:04:38Wasn't I right?
01:04:39Such a fine woman, his mother.
01:04:41How'd she give birth to this disgrace?
01:04:43His mother died of shame, I'm telling you!
01:04:46Hayes, calm down.
01:04:48That brat's not worth it.
01:04:49He's just writing Ellis' name for attention.
01:04:52Indulge his tantrum and he'll only get worse.
01:04:55Actions speak louder than words.
01:04:57Call the city guard, give him a few dozen lashes, he'll fall in line.
01:05:05I... I just wanted to prove...
01:05:09I'm not less than anyone.
01:05:17That's the future Sanctuary Master's father.
01:05:20What am I supposed to say?
01:05:22Watch that tone!
01:05:24I'm your old man, and this is how you talk to me?
01:05:27You are worse than an animal!
01:05:29You're an arrogant, conceited guy!
01:05:36Have you ever treated me as your son?
01:05:38You've been very clear.
01:05:39I'm worth less than a hair on Ellis' head to you.
01:05:42At least you throw your hunting dogs a bone.
01:05:44What did I ever get?
01:05:45What kind of father acts the way you do?
01:05:47You? Fine! Fine!
01:05:50Touch one hair on your brother's head, you're done with the Hales!
01:05:54Forever!
01:05:55No son of mine, no name, no family, no roots!
01:05:58You'll be nothing but a stray raised by some nobody in the woods!
01:06:01A stray! A stray dog!
01:06:03The Hales raised a stray dog!
01:06:07So that's why he wouldn't leave the platform.
01:06:09One last grab at glory, shame.
01:06:11He's about to lose it all instead.
01:06:13Hayes, you want to kick him out?
01:06:14Send him my way!
01:06:15I need a guard dog and he's built for it!
01:06:21Everyone, hear me out.
01:06:23Owen's been troubled since he was a boy, but he's still hail blood.
01:06:27He only wants to prove himself.
01:06:29I understand that, as his brother.
01:06:32Listen to that!
01:06:33That's the bearing of a great house!
01:06:35Ellis, generous to a fault, destined for greatness!
01:06:40Here's the deal, brother.
01:06:42Walk off this stage, grovel to father, I'll speak for you.
01:06:45Play smart, and this ends easy.
01:06:48Embarrass me, and you're gone for good.
01:06:51There are worse things than death.
01:06:52No one will mourn a stray dog.
01:06:54Then from this moment on, I'll renounce the hail name!
01:07:01Won't listen, will you?
01:07:02Don't blame me then.
01:07:03Let me show you real despair.
01:07:05Let me show you the dragon Lord Ferris gave me.
01:07:08I chose this dragon myself for the future Sanctuary Master.
01:07:13Maximizes his power right where he's at.
01:07:16Lord Ferris, preparing a dragon for Ellis!
01:07:19The Hales have a dragon knight!
01:07:22A real one!
01:07:25Heaven's a dragon before he's even a knight, Ellis.
01:07:28Born lucky.
01:07:29I'm jealous.
01:07:30Wish a dragon knight thought that much of me.
01:07:35Come forth, G-Dragon!
01:07:52Heaven's a dragon!
01:07:54Heaven's a real dragon!
01:07:54Ellis Hale already has his own dragon?
01:07:56Just crown him dragon knight and be done with it!
01:07:58The Hale ancestors must be grinning from their graves!
01:08:08The Jade Dragon.
01:08:10Full growth.
01:08:11Chose it myself for the future Sanctuary Master, Ellis Hale.
01:08:13Docile.
01:08:14Easy to tame.
01:08:15Perfect first bond.
01:08:16Not top tier, sure, but for a knight who can set foot in the Sanctuary,
01:08:20a gift beyond his imagination, I'm sure.
01:08:21Now that's the spectacle the future Sanctuary Master deserves.
01:08:27As for that one over there...
01:08:30Once Ellis is in the Sanctuary, I'll be his most trusted man.
01:08:34That's it, Ellis!
01:08:36Beat that ungradle track senseless!
01:08:38Go, Ellis!
01:08:39Show that failure what real talent looks like!
01:08:43Come, worthless brother.
01:08:45Let this whole city see the gap between us.
01:08:51I'm not a failure, cut out by your own family.
01:08:56Neal!
01:09:01I'm not a failure!
01:09:04I'm Owen!
01:09:05My mother was Liz Manta!
01:09:07I'm her son!
01:09:17I'm not a failure!
01:09:19I'm not a failure!
01:09:20I'm Owen!
01:09:21My mother was Liz Manta!
01:09:23I'm her son!
01:09:24A Dragon Knight here?
01:09:27For the selection?
01:09:28The future Sanctuary Master's in there somewhere.
01:09:31The Hale Patriarch's son is my only disciple,
01:09:33the next Sanctuary Master.
01:09:35Get him in, whatever it takes.
01:09:37Don't worry, Father.
01:09:38I'll be selected.
01:09:39I'll become a Dragon Knight.
01:09:40The Hale family will become the greatest family of Moonlight City.
01:09:43Father...
01:09:44Back, huh?
01:09:45Stand over there.
01:09:46I sent him up there to get him out of my hair, that's all.
01:09:49What could a backwards herit possibly know about power?
01:09:52Nothing like a Hale heir.
01:09:53Once your brother's a knight, you can be his squire.
01:09:55You should consider it an honor.
01:09:57Father, I...
01:09:57I entered the selection too.
01:09:59Let me prove it.
01:10:00I'm not less than him.
01:10:01Go then.
01:10:02I won't stop you.
01:10:04Barriss the Hale's out there though, and you're no son of mine.
01:10:06Everyone, today's selection will be splitted in press.
01:10:09Round one.
01:10:11The Dragon's Pressure.
01:10:13Dragon Marshal Lord Ferris's mount unleashes its power.
01:10:15If you are swept away by its presence, you fail.
01:10:18Not bad.
01:10:19Standing firm under Blaze's full pressure.
01:10:22Exceptional.
