Driving all the way from Zunyi in Guizhou to Chongqing on the expressway, I cruised along the super expressway network in southwest China—this trip completely redefined my understanding of China’s "Infrastructure Marvel" reputation!
Traveling on the two-way lane expressway, the unique karst mountains of Guizhou stretch endlessly on both sides. The early morning mist curls around the mountain slopes like silk ribbons, drifting through the canyons, and the scenery outside the car window is like a moving ink wash painting. Along the way, you’ll also see clusters of expressway viaducts straddling the canyons, with piers plunging straight into the remote mountains. These roads and bridges built on sheer cliffs and steep precipices will make you can’t help but marvel at the grandeur and greatness of China’s infrastructure.
