00:34Fellas, welcome to Shine Time.
00:36Thanks for having us.
00:37Yeah, happy to be here.
00:38All right, let's start with this, because everyone wants to know how you decide a draft order.
00:45I want you to look at this video of a Bills fan who gets DJ Moore to decide his league's
00:51draft order.
00:52I'm obsessed with this.
00:54Is this the coolest way, Mike?
00:56We'll start with you.
00:57You've ever seen a draft order to sign in.
00:59What's your favorite way to go about it?
01:02So, that probably is the coolest.
01:05I mean, I can't imagine, if you're a Bills fan, that I don't think you're ever going to top that.
01:11I like the, you know, you can have, I've seen people do, like, March Madness brackets or, you know, wagering
01:22on other things.
01:23I like the, if you're just from scratch, I like kind of the obstacle course type of idea where, you
01:29know, just we go old school.
01:30The first thing, you got to put the head down on the bat and spin around 10 times and then
01:35navigate through just a bunch of different physical obstacles while you're, while you're either dizzy or perhaps you, you've made
01:43people imbibe in certain libations.
01:47Just have a good time about it because fantasy football at its core, we can get lost in our nerd
01:54stuff sometimes.
01:55It's supposed to be fun.
01:57It's supposed to enhance your Sunday and make just the NFL better.
02:01You care more about games.
02:03You care about the random Thursday night game at the end of the season between two absolute stinkers of teams.
02:10But you got fantasy players out there.
02:11So, whatever, whatever is fun in the obstacle course thing is fun to me.
02:18Listen, that guy is never going to forget it.
02:20You know, my kid, my son is in a league and he's done it since third grade.
02:24And I always get an NFL player to pick the draft order.
02:28I've had Bijan pick, you know, who gets the top pick.
02:31You know, Pat Sertan do it.
02:32Justin Jefferson, the kids couldn't get enough.
02:35So, that's pretty cool for them.
02:37That's about as great as it gets.
02:38I don't know about the obstacle course.
02:39I mean, I have trouble, you know, putting walking and chewing gum at the same time.
02:43But I like where your brain's at.
02:45Jason, let me ask you this.
02:46I want everyone to chime in here.
02:49What's your most irrational fantasy football take that you have that you know is out there,
02:56but you study it, you have the numbers, the facts, the figures, but you just can't shake it?
03:03Yeah, it's really stupid, but I think Geno Smith is going to be really great for the Jets.
03:11I agree with you.
03:12I agree with you.
03:14For fantasy.
03:15Like, he's going to be bad.
03:16I'm sorry.
03:17But for fantasy, you were talking about a team last year that was like, they didn't throw for 2,500
03:21yards as a team.
03:22Geno can get it done.
03:23So, I'm like big on Garrett Wilson this year.
03:26I think that his floor is super high.
03:29He's not being drafted like a superstar, and he could be a superstar.
03:32I just think Geno's enough.
03:34He is enough for fantasy.
03:36And it feels irrational, but that's where I am.
03:40I feel dumb, but there I am.
03:41And I'm probably right.
03:43Andy, how about you?
03:44Yeah, I think it's actually a similar vein for me in the sense that I think, against my better judgment
03:51and my hometown team,
03:52that the Arizona Cardinals offense is going to be great this year.
03:55I just think Jacoby Brissett, Michael Wilson, Marvin Harrison, Trey McBride, Jeremiah Love,
04:02I think that for a team that's projected to win three and a half games, for fantasy, you want the
04:08yards to pile up.
04:09And I think Marv's going to have a better year and redeem a little bit of that draft stock and
04:13that excitement.
04:13I don't like it.
04:15We've said enough negative things about the Cardinals on the show for the last six months and probably most of
04:20our lives.
04:21It's time for me to come out and publicly say I just irrationally think it's going to work out for
04:26fantasy for the Cardinals.
04:27Andy?
04:29Mike, Mike, Mike, I'll jump in.
04:31Yeah, it's that Christian Watson is going to win fantasy football leagues, a player who has never played a full
04:38season,
04:39a player who has never surpassed 620 receiving yards.
04:43But out of the Green Bay Packers with the way that with Romeo Dobbs and Dontavian Wicks out,
04:48the rotation of the wide receivers I think goes way down.
04:51I think the running game isn't as strong this year with Jacobs being the inefficiencies creeping up in the age,
04:58getting up there, and Christian Watson is the real deal.
05:01He just hasn't been able to stay on the field, and I think that we're finally going to get it.
05:05All right, I'm with you on Geno.
05:08I'm with you on the Arizona Cardinals.
05:10I'm not with you on Watson.
05:12I do think Marv is going to end up being the guy.
05:15I mean, of all things, that's the one that I disagree with, but that's why it's an irrational take.
05:20All right, which NFL coach do you liken yourself to as a fantasy manager?
05:26Let's go around the horn on this one.
05:27Wow.
05:28I know mine.
05:29Yeah, I've got mine as well.
05:30I'll kick it off first.
05:31You might have to tell me mine.
05:32Yeah, we might – I'm going to go with Sean Payton.
05:36I think Sean Payton is my comp because he's really good, but he's not necessarily likable.
05:45His ego's out of control.
05:46You know, he can win without grace, and I can too.
05:52I can too.
05:54So that's where it's like – and, you know, he's such a talented coach, and I'm such a talented –
05:59Oh, boy.
06:01You know, that's where I comp myself.
06:03I will give you a recent quote from the coach I'm going to comp myself to of,
06:07I want to have the highest scoring offense ever, which happens to be the 2013 Denver Broncos.
06:13I know how many points per game they scored, and I want to surpass them.
06:16I want shutouts.
06:17I want blowouts.
06:19I'm talking about Ben Johnson of the Chicago Bears, offensive guru, and as of just playing fantasy football,
06:26a coach even whispering that, and not even – like, this was full – I mean, he's been chest out
06:34before.
06:34He ripped the shirt off, popped that top.
06:37When a coach is like, no, we don't want to just win.
06:39We want to embarrass people.
06:42That's what we're talking about.
06:44I love that.
06:45I feel like that's the heart and soul of fantasy football to begin with.
06:49I just want to be a coach that has general manager powers.
06:52The amount of transactions I make on my fantasy team, I need to have control.
06:56Maybe you go back to old school Belichick and getting the moves made that need to happen,
07:00but I want general manager powers as a coach.
07:03What is the dumbest thing you've ever convinced yourself was a great fantasy take?
07:11Mine's recent and real bad.
07:16Here I said I was a good analyst.
07:18I'm about to undo that.
07:20I was very in on Caleb Johnson last year.
07:23I mean, he was a guy that I –
07:25What team is he on, Jason?
07:25He is currently on the Steelers last year's rookie, who I do not expect to make the roster.
07:32He is – he's been pretty much as bad of an NFL draft pick as possible.
07:39He fumbled away a Steelers game last year.
07:42Has never recovered from that moment.
07:44Obviously, hasn't done enough in camp, behind the scenes.
07:48I don't know who he angered for, you know, in personal relationships.
07:52The team went out and then signed Rico Dowdle.
07:55They drafted other running backs.
07:58I loved him.
07:58I mean, I really genuinely put my, you know, flag on –
08:02I really believe that Caleb Johnson was a great collegiate running back who was going to translate –
08:07And that's where it's going to stop.
08:09I will take the L on that one.
08:12And that's a capital L.
08:13I just remember we're about to do a live show out here in Phoenix.
08:17Oh, man.
08:17You're probably going to –
08:18And we do a bold prediction every single time we do a live show.
08:22And we were just looking back at some of our old ones.
08:24And, boy, I got up on a stage in front of a bunch of people and told them that the
08:28Jets were going to win the Super Bowl a couple of years ago.
08:31Was that the Rodgers year?
08:32It was the Rodgers.
08:33I had them in the Super Bowl that year.
08:36I don't think that's crazy.
08:37Listen, I still stand by that take.
08:40Like, sometimes something doesn't work out.
08:43You never know.
08:43Four plays in, we'll never know.
08:45We weren't wrong.
08:46It was incomplete.
08:47That's it.
08:48That's right.
08:49I think – I mean, it's recency bias, and you guys seem to think it's going to be okay.
08:55But we told everyone that there is no possible way that Marvin Harrison Jr. is a bust in the NFL
09:01or for fantasy football.
09:03Maybe he's not as great as we think he could be.
09:06But it has been –
09:09It's getting closer.
09:10It's been a disaster based off of what he was supposed to be so far.
09:15I thought he was an absolute lock.
09:17And the Cardinals did too.
09:18I mean, I had money on support on my Sirius XM radio show.
09:21He basically said as much.
09:22I mean, every time he drops a ball, I'm still stunned.
09:25I mean, that's where I'm at when it comes to Marv.
09:27All right.
09:27Give us a personal – and tell us the reason why.
09:31I'll never draft this guy again, player, and what he did to you to become that guy.
09:37I had one that would really hurt me on a personal level.
09:42We usually try to forgive guys.
09:45You tell me we want our emotions on our sleeve here.
09:46We try to forgive guys.
09:47So, it's not often that we're like, hey, he's off my board no matter what.
09:49But P. Rivers, Phillip Rivers, he – oh, my gosh, dude.
09:56I was on the way to fantasy glory, and all I needed – the only thing I needed him to
10:02do was not throw, like, five interceptions in a game.
10:05That was it, and he couldn't stop.
10:07He couldn't stop throwing interceptions.
10:09I'm surprised my television made it through that day.
10:12I don't know how I didn't throw something at it.
10:15I was so infuriated, and I will – I would never at that point ever draft Phillip Rivers again, which
10:21turned out to be great for me.
10:23Obviously, that's a couple years old, but he was nicknamed P. Rivers from that point forward.
10:28That's not a great nickname, Jason.
10:30For our show, no.
10:30It's really not.
10:32He deserved every –
10:32But that did make for a great episode of the show.
10:35It did.
10:35Do you have somebody in that category, Mike?
10:37Because I don't feel like I have a name that sticks out other than –
10:39It's tougher because we do – we try to be rational as much as we can and say, like, this
10:47is a different year.
10:48Whatever that player did to you last year.
10:50You know, we just talked about it on today's show, and I brought up – I'm like, all the people
10:55who said,
10:55I'll never draft Christian McCaffrey again.
10:57Ever.
10:58What he did to me.
11:00Whoops!
11:00Whoever drafted McCaffrey last year, I think there's a pretty strong odds that that person at least made it to
11:07the championship, probably won.
11:09The guy who's, like, closest to it, it's DK Metcalf.
11:14I knew that was going to be the name.
11:16To the Steelers because I just – I've never been a Metcalf guy.
11:20Like, I don't think he's bad by any stretch.
11:23I just – I never bought into the hype the way that people really did.
11:28I'm with it.
11:29And then he goes to the Steelers.
11:31He gets the bag.
11:32They back up the truck of gold bullion.
11:35And you're thinking, he's got to be safe.
11:38He's going to – he has to get so many targets, which is, you know, we just – we search
11:42for targets for that volume
11:44when we're drafting our fantasy wide receivers.
11:48And I got him last year.
11:49I said, you know what?
11:50I'm going to – I'm going to bite my tongue on this one.
11:53I'm going to admit maybe I'm wrong here.
11:55And I wasn't wrong!
11:57DK Metcalf was a disaster last year.
12:00Yeah, I think any time you have a player that we've talked about on the show as being –
12:05like, they show a tremendous amount of promise.
12:07And this is the year it's going to work out.
12:09So, for years it was Terry McLaurin.
12:10Yes.
12:11It was DJ Moore.
12:12And it was like, you know the player's great, and then something goes wrong.
12:16You know, I think without Kenneth Walker moving to Kansas City, he would have been the answer to the question
12:20for me.
12:21Like, something always goes wrong for Kenneth Walker.
12:23So, you know, the careers are not long, but sometimes the burns, they last a couple of seasons.
12:29I started playing fantasy, baseball and football, in the third grade.
12:35I have a father-son league with my son who's now 11, going into sixth grade.
12:41And they're football obsessed, right?
12:43You've got 12 kids with their dads Monday, you know, Labor Day Monday.
12:47They have a draft.
12:49It's unbelievable.
12:50What do you think is the right age to start playing fantasy?
12:54And are you ever too old to play fantasy?
12:58Oh, well, never.
13:00I can answer the too old.
13:01We have a writer who just shared with us – one of our writers just shared with us –
13:07that her 92-year-old grandmother was listening to the show and has her draft kit and is all talking
13:16smack.
13:17So, there is – there's definitely not an end cap.
13:20I think it's going to keep you young, and all that emotion will be good.
13:24You're sharp.
13:24It's good for the mind.
13:25Yeah, I feel like accessibility to it is like – it's younger and younger, I think, is probably the right
13:31answer with, like, you know, the tech and just being able to follow it on your iPad or your phone
13:37or, like, doing that.
13:39Like, for my kids, I just let it happen, and it seemed like for one of them it didn't that
13:44much.
13:44And then the other one it was, like, really into it at about probably that third, fourth, fifth grade level
13:50where the numbers and being able to watch on Sunday and, like, I think all the tech integration for fantasy
13:55really helps just make it more entertaining and fun.
13:59And they've got stuff like the – what, the Nickelodeon game and things that get people into the sport all
14:03together.
14:04I think it's just when the – if your kid's, like, really showing interest in football.
14:09Yeah, he's my co-manager.
14:10You know what I mean?
14:11He's along for the ride.
14:12What you don't want to do is force the kid in, and then you're just – now I'm managing a
14:16team against children.
14:18And how embarrassing is that?
14:20You don't want to be that guy.
14:20You never want to be that guy.
14:22No.
14:22Because either you win, and you're supposed to, or you lost to children, and you have to never tell anyone
14:28about it again.
14:29So, it's just – once the interest level is there, and in third grade, that seems very reasonable.
14:35All right, what's your take on Sunday when it comes to, let's say, an hour before kickoff?
14:42Because I struggle with this, especially – and I'm DFS obsessed, right?
14:46Oh, yeah.
14:47Tinker?
14:48Don't tinker.
14:49What's the thought process?
14:50What's the strategy?
14:52When do you lock in and say, I've got the guy.
14:55I've got the take.
14:56I'm not looking at weather forecasts or – are you a tinker or non-tinker?
15:02We've done it all.
15:03We've done it all.
15:04I think tinkering is usually a mistake.
15:05You want to be up-to-date on the information.
15:08You bring up weather.
15:09Sometimes that's going to change something if it's outrageously bad or an injury.
15:13Make sure you're, you know, absolutely waiting until kickoff and setting your lineup.
15:18But more often than not, it's like, oh, I shouldn't have made that move.
15:21The last-second moves, they've burned me.
15:23Yeah, if you're switching narratives, I think that's what it is.
15:26If you're like – if you've told yourself a story on a few guys,
15:28then you convince yourself of the truth, and then you get right before kickoff
15:32and you start going back over the stories, we all do it.
15:35We all do it.
15:36But it's – I would definitely say it's a mistake 70% of the time.
15:40Yeah, I agree.
15:41Definitely a mistake 70% of the time.
15:44I could not agree with that more.
15:46You guys are phenomenal when it comes to takes and predictions and analysis.
15:51That's why everyone watches, everyone listens, why I'm obsessed.
15:55I want to know your best fantasy football preseason call you've ever made.
16:00Oh.
16:01And one that you want back as well.
16:04Oh.
16:05Well, that's another story.
16:06I'll just say my favorite all-time preseason call was Arian Foster of the Houston Texans.
16:12Because he was buried –
16:13He was buried on a depth chart.
16:15It's my – it's like my greatest victory lap of all time.
16:18And it also – like, I took him.
16:21You know what I mean?
16:21It wasn't just a take.
16:22It was like, this guy, look.
16:23I did it.
16:24And then I benefited from it.
16:26So it was like – he's like my all-time favorite fantasy player simply because of how that worked out
16:32on the positive side.
16:33When you get to call your own shot on something that's rare and then you're right –
16:37Oh, the glory.
16:38Oh, the glory.
16:39For me, I would say – and actually, it's me and Andy.
16:42We saw the same thing at the same time when backup quarterback Kurt Warner was dominating.
16:50He was dominating in preseason.
16:53Yeah, when Matt Leiner was supposed to be the starter.
16:55When Matt Leiner was supposed to be the starter.
16:56He was just so good that it was like I rushed to the waiver wire to pick up Kurt Warner
17:02and lo and behold, I saw that, like, minutes before Andy got him, he went on –
17:09did you win a championship that year with Kurt Warner?
17:11Yeah.
17:11It was really bad.
17:13But that one was fun to see, to witness, to rush to action.
17:18Sadly, it worked out for you and not me, but that one was – that was really cool.
17:23I do have an answer on the terrible one.
17:26It was Dante Pettis of the San Francisco 49ers who was absolutely on fire in the –
17:34To end the rookie year.
17:35To end the rookie year.
17:37And then all of a sudden, we're getting to the point –
17:39we do these My Guys every year on the show where we have to plant our flag
17:42and I finally say the name.
17:44And then, like, the next two weeks couldn't have been worse press for Dante Pettis.
17:48I have to – the only time in this show we've withdrawn a recommendation,
17:52but he is forever attached to my name and I regret it.
17:56I mean, there's just so many.
17:59Okay.
18:01Let me talk about how great I am.
18:03We got this.
18:04You have to be last year.
18:05It has to be Christian McCaffrey.
18:06That one felt good.
18:08But it's like we – everyone just knew McCaffrey's good, but, like, my chips were all in.
18:14One I am extremely proud of was we had our bold predictions show,
18:19which is where you're saying things that you – like, you think they can happen,
18:24but it's a spicy meatball.
18:26Well, in 2019, Melvin Gordon was the starting running back of the Los Angeles Chargers.
18:34Or, they might have been San Diego.
18:36I don't know.
18:36And there was the undrafted free agent, Austin Eckler, who was starting to make some noise.
18:42And I went on bold predictions, and I said, Austin Eckler's going to be a top 12 running back this
18:48year.
18:48Not drafted anywhere near that.
18:50And Melvin Gordon, like, held out for four games.
18:53And then Austin Eckler ends up, like, breaking out and breaking fantasy,
18:57where he ends up being the number six overall running back on the season.
19:01That's a good one.
19:02That's a terrific call.
19:03All right.
19:04I want to get your take on this.
19:05And, you know, we've had Pat Sertan for my son's league pick who is going to get the first pick
19:10this year.
19:11And I argue with my son about this all the time.
19:14And my opinion has changed through the years.
19:1812-person snake draft.
19:21What's the best spot to pick?
19:23Number one.
19:24It changes every year.
19:25Yeah, every year it's different.
19:26Some years there's five, like, all in the same tier, and then I want the fifth pick.
19:32I want the highest second-round pick possible when I'm getting someone in the same tier.
19:37I personally, it's different for everybody, I put Jameer Gibbs in his own world.
19:42I think that he's going to score more fantasy points than any other running,
19:46maybe of all time.
19:47I think he could break, you know, LaDainian Tomlinson's record.
19:51So, I want him.
19:52And the nice thing about it, sometimes it's not worth it.
19:55But this year the guys at the 2-3 turn, I really like.
19:58I don't look at the guys that are a few spots before and be like, man, I wish I was
20:03a couple spots higher.
20:04So, if I can start with Gibbs and then have really quality players at 2-3, I don't mind it
20:11at all.
20:11Yeah, a lot of years I feel like we say we want to be as far back as the final
20:16upper-tier running back.
20:18Yeah.
20:18Or maybe wide receiver.
20:20This year, when we've done mock drafts, being at 8, 9, 10, 11, it feels like the teams are not
20:26coming out as well as we'd like.
20:29Maybe it's just because we're having to stare down the decision on, is Jefferson going to be okay with Kyler
20:34Murray?
20:34Questions like that.
20:35But I'm with you this year.
20:37I think it is the number one overall spot.
20:40But it does.
20:41It changes every single year.
20:42And obviously you want to maximize value.
20:45How early should you take a quarterback this year in a draft?
20:50Give us your top five fantasy quarterbacks this year and a guy at quarterback that you have undervalued.
20:57So the timing of this question is funny.
21:01We just did a top 10 tips and tricks for this year.
21:04And one of my points was I was bringing up the fantasy football is a market.
21:11It's a stock exchange.
21:13You need to kind of understand how the game actually works.
21:17And right now the market, the upper tier elite quarterbacks that years ago would be going in the first round
21:24and then some in the second round, they're going later.
21:27They're going in the middle rounds.
21:29And we have mentioned it's not the best to spend that high of a pick on a quarterback because of
21:35the opportunity cost for the rest of your team because of the rest of the market.
21:38But now you can get guys like Jane Daniels in the fifth round.
21:42You can get Jalen Hurts in the fifth, sometimes even the sixth round.
21:46Guys who can be real elite difference makers at the position.
21:50So we're staying open to those.
21:54There's later round guys that are very fun.
21:58Like I think Trevor Lawrence is being massively undervalued right now.
22:03We're all so caught up in arguing it's Parker Washington.
22:07Like, no, it's Jacoby Myers.
22:08No, I think Brian Thomas resurges this year.
22:11All those points go to Trevor Lawrence in the end at the end of the day.
22:15And he ended the season on fire after the bye week.
22:18Trevor Lawrence was like a top three fantasy quarterback, but he's not being drafted that way.
22:23So he's an undervalued guy, but we're open to taking quarterback in the fifth round this year.
22:28Yeah, I think you can take quarterback wherever the they're not overpriced this year.
22:33Throughout the draft, but to give you my top five in a four point per passing touchdown league,
22:38my fifth quarterback is definitely the one I think is undervalued.
22:41And I would love to draft them later.
22:42My top five in that format goes Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Joe Burrow, and Jackson Dart.
22:51Oh, goodness.
22:53In a four point per passing touchdown league, there are only three guys in the league that can rush for
22:59800 yards at the quarterback position.
23:01Lamar could do it.
23:02But I don't think he does it at this point anymore.
23:04He was far away from it last year.
23:07Jaden Daniels can get back to it, but he's costing a much higher pick.
23:11And Jackson Dart can do it.
23:12And he is a ninth round option.
23:15So to me, it's tough because if you play that game and you wait and you lose out,
23:20then it's like, oh, man, I should have just taken Josh Allen.
23:22Great.
23:22But I think he's one of the best values in the draft because he can break fantasy with his legs.
23:29Fascinated to get a take at the running back position.
23:32I'm high on Ashton Genthy.
23:33I was very high on Ashton Genthy last year.
23:36That obviously did not hit.
23:38My son drafted him in the first round over McCaffrey.
23:41But then he got it.
23:42He won the league.
23:42He got Jonathan Taylor round two, Jackson Smith and Jigba round three.
23:46He would draft him again.
23:47I would as well give us your top five running backs in fantasy football for this year and
23:54a couple of sleepers at the running back position.
23:57Yeah, it's a great question.
23:59You always want to hit on.
24:00I mean, they can completely dominate and win your league.
24:03We have Gibbs at number one right now.
24:05Bijan sitting at two.
24:07Christian McCaffrey, James Cook, Jonathan Taylor.
24:10That's our consensus top five right now.
24:12I think the guy that is exciting that could move into an upper echelon tier with the new
24:18home is Ken Walker in Kansas City.
24:20He's somebody that, you know, you want to have 300 plus opportunities, pushing hopefully
24:25350.
24:26That's one name.
24:28I think Omari and Hampton in Los Angeles with the Chargers is another name we're paying
24:32close attention to because we like the play caller.
24:35We like what we saw on the field last year, but he was banged up and hurt and is still
24:39a
24:40tremendously young guy.
24:41And I love Jinty, too.
24:43I think we're on Team Jinty.
24:44He is just expensive in fantasy compared to some of those other names where you do have
24:51to he has to perform right up to that draft cost.
24:53Yeah, if you compare him versus Hampton, I think Jinty is a better player than Hampton.
24:58The problem is the opportunity on the team around him.
25:01We look at, you know, of top three selected the first three rounds in fantasy football,
25:08those running backs that go, the ones that are on teams projected for fewer than seven
25:13and a half wins all, you know, they hit at like a 30 percent rate.
25:17So it's really scary to have a guy like Jinty taken ahead of a guy like Hampton when you're
25:22on a bad team that you're not sure is going to win six games versus a team that could be
25:26a Super Bowl contender, has a good defense, has an improved offensive line and has way
25:30more touchdown opportunities.
25:32So it makes Devon HN really hard in Miami.
25:35The talent is amazing.
25:36The team not projected to win a lot of games.
25:38There's a handful of guys that we love, but they're on teams.
25:42They're on bad teams.
25:43I mean, Jeremiah Love in Arizona is a tough one.
25:46He's amazing.
25:47And he'll probably work out, will it be this year?
25:49Will it be the second half?
25:51You want to be around the goal line.
25:53And that's the one advantage Hampton has.
25:54Yeah, some later round running backs that are undervalued.
25:57I think DeAndre Swift is probably being drafted behind where he should be drafted.
26:01You've got some middle-of-the-pack guys that, you know, Bill Krosky merit.
26:06Yes, that was the name I was going to bring up.
26:07You know, he might be able to break out.
26:08And really late, I like Jordan Mason to lead the Vikings, and he's a very late draft pick
26:14over, you know, Aaron Jones.
26:17Aaron Jones.
26:17Yeah.
26:18You guys referenced it before, Justin Jefferson, who I'm obsessed with.
26:22And I'm not a Kyler guy in general, but I think Kyler can be great for Justin Jefferson
26:29and with KOC in Minnesota.
26:32And I'm high on the Vikings this year, and I think Jefferson's going to be back to doing
26:35Justin Jefferson things.
26:37Give us your top five wide receivers.
26:40I do love Jefferson.
26:42I love CeeDee Lamb.
26:43I wouldn't be surprised if Nico Collins pushed higher on lists this year and give us some
26:50sleeper wide receivers.
26:52Yeah, the Jefferson thing is so interesting because we've seen, like, when Hopkins was
26:56in his prime, he had a year where he just disappeared from fantasy.
27:00They figured the quarterback thing out.
27:01Larry Fitzgerald in Arizona has done that.
27:03Our top five right now, Chase, Pukunakua, JSN, Amon Ross St. Brown, and CeeDee Lamb.
27:11That's the top five guys that we have.
27:13But Nico is right there.
27:15Jaden Higgins' injury.
27:16Yeah.
27:16Moving him up to that, you know, the target share is going to be really high.
27:19And then for our consensus ranks, Jefferson's the next man up in that group in a half PPR
27:24league.
27:25Some later round guys, Christian Watson, Mike brought him up earlier.
27:28I am also a believer.
27:30If healthy, without Dobbs, without Dontavian Wicks, with Tucker Kraft coming back slowly,
27:36could be a player to pay attention to.
27:37And then Marvin Harrison is a really low draft pick.
27:40And you said you believed.
27:42I said I believed.
27:44I'm coming around on Marv this year, Chris Godwin in Tampa Bay.
27:48That's a great one.
27:49I mean, he's just forgotten.
27:50Yeah.
27:51Right.
27:51Emeka Abuka is the exciting, fun player to talk about.
27:54But he might have turf toe.
27:55We don't know what's going on.
27:56He might have turf toe.
27:56So it's one of those things where you got to pay attention to value.
27:59And fantasy players, we get tired of certain names and they get discounted.
28:04And then look for Alec Pierce to come back late in the season.
28:06I'd throw that out there too.
28:07And one other name to throw out, Dajon Stribling, the rookie wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers,
28:12has been getting a ton of buzz.
28:14And all their wide receivers are just, I mean, Mike Evans is dealing with his 10th injury
28:19since getting to San Francisco.
28:21Ricky Pierce all is out for the year.
28:23They lost to Juan Jennings.
28:24They got to throw the ball somewhere.
28:25It's good offense.
28:26And he's been getting a lot of buzz.
28:28He's so late in drafts right now.
28:30All right.
28:30Last one for you guys.
28:31How soon in a draft this year can I say the name Brock Bowers and give us some tight ends
28:38that are going to make owners look smart?
28:41Honestly, second round is perfectly fine for Brock.
28:44Absolutely.
28:45It's totally fine.
28:46But I am personally willing to take him at the back of the first round.
28:50I think when you get there, there are guys that all of a sudden you switch from known
28:55perfect commodities to questions.
28:57You know, we bring up Gentry and it's like, okay, I see how it could not work for him.
29:01I don't see how it doesn't work for Brock Bowers.
29:03And if he is the number one or number two tight end, you're not going to regret that pick.
29:08So I know you're supposed to take him in the second.
29:10I'm okay at the end of the first.
29:13As far as a tight end, I'll give one name.
29:16The other guys can give a name.
29:18Dalton Kincaid.
29:19He is a super good tight end.
29:21Love it.
29:21Who has been very, very injured.
29:23He only played 38% of the snaps last year, but on a yards per route run basis, he was
29:28number one in the league.
29:30So if he's actually healthy and he appears healthy, why not take a shot at the Bill's
29:33offense, you know, for a talented tight end?
29:37Yeah.
29:37I was just saying my late round guy is going to be, it's Dallas Goddard in Philadelphia
29:42because Makai Lemons hasn't had much time at training camp.
29:47A.J.
29:47Brown is obviously gone.
29:48And whenever A.J.
29:49Brown or Devontae Smith missed games, Goddard was obviously the beneficiary.
29:53We haven't heard anything about Eli Stowers this offseason.
29:56So I think that's a sneaky one.
29:57And I'm going with Juwan Johnson of the New Orleans Saints who, you know, last year, Nick
30:04Underhill, he's an amazing beat reporter for the Saints.
30:08And he was telling us, Juwan Johnson is going to be involved more than people realize.
30:13And he finishes as the tight end 10.
30:15And with Jordan Tyson coming in, I was kind of concerned, can Juwan really command more
30:21target share?
30:22Well, now Jordan Tyson's missing at least two months.
30:25And this is an at least where his hamstring situation is now into a scary red zone of,
30:32do we end up losing an entire rookie season?
30:35I think Tyler Shuck is the truth.
30:37Once he started, once he took over as a starter, he was, he would have, we call it the 17
30:42game
30:42pace of, so like the production he put up, his 17 game pace was over 4,200 passing yards.
30:48And that was without Jordan Tyson.
30:50That was with Chris Olave and Juwan Johnson.
30:53So he, he is a player to me that is, he's already had fantasy success.
30:57And the, the opportunity around him just got better.
31:00And the aforementioned Nick Underhill has, he been banging the drum saying, Juwan Johnson
31:06looks awesome yet again in this year's training camp.
31:09So if you miss on everybody, I think you can, with your last pick, take Juwan and, and have
31:14a guy who's at least going to get you through the first few weeks of the season.
31:17Absolutely.
31:18Mike, Jason, Andy, you guys are absolutely the best.
31:21That was so much fun.
