00:33couldn't avoid the collision. The impact sent the truck veering into a family of four, standing
00:38nearby, then into a second parked car. A 53-year-old man and his daughters, aged 25 and 12, died
00:45at the
00:45scene. His wife was rushed to hospital Kuala Lumpur with head, hand and leg injuries. Both drivers were
00:52detained to assist investigations. Breathalyzer and urine tests for both came back negative.
00:57The case is being probed under Section 41 Subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act.
01:02Immigration Director General Datuk Zakaria Shaban says the department will fully cooperate with police
01:08and review its own standard operating procedures. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has ordered
01:14an immediate thorough investigation, warning that if negligence or a breach of the law is found,
01:20action will follow without compromise. He also extended his condolences to the family.
01:25Investigators are still gathering CCTV footage and appealing for witnesses.
