00:00New summer life hack, Chuck. Combine America's favorite pick-me-up from 5-Hour Energy Firework Freeze and America's favorite
00:06frozen drink.
00:07That sounds great. I can't wait to try it.
00:10Where's your Slurpee, Chuck?
00:11Oh, I'll take care of that.
00:13Ugh, you can have it.
00:20You can email us, though, if you can't get to the phone or you're not listening live.
00:25Email at DaveAndChuckTheFreak.com.
00:27That's email at DaveAndChuckTheFreak.com.
00:29And this guy says, well, again, he says his name right in the title, but I won't say it, just
00:36in case.
00:36Big fan of the show, he says. I listen to the podcast work, a little behind.
00:39But you had a short segment on things you can buy in bulk that make it seem suspicious.
00:45And it reminded me of a crazy story involving my wife.
00:48Back when we were first dating, it came to the time when I was going to meet her parents.
00:53So she introduces me to her dad.
00:55The first thing he says to me is, hey, did you know that she sold stuff to a murderer?
01:01That's the first thing he said.
01:03Wow.
01:04Of course, I was intrigued.
01:05And then he went on to explain.
01:07So when she was in high school, she worked at a local convenience store where she went to school in
01:12Gibraltar, Michigan.
01:13While she was working one day, cops came in and asked to speak to her about someone who had been
01:18in buying a bunch of items.
01:21The guy that came in bought all of the obvious suspicious items, too, like you guys were talking about.
01:27Bleach, rope.
01:29Shovel.
01:30Duct tape.
01:30They asked if he seemed off or weird.
01:34And she said, I didn't really pay attention.
01:39Turns out the guy went back home at the apartment complex around the corner from the store.
01:46Chopped a lady up that lived in the same complex as him.
01:52And stuffed her in a suitcase.
01:56Wild story.
01:58But I did find out my future father-in-law was a really cool guy that day.
02:03And whenever I can slip it into the conversation, I remind her that she sold crazy stuff to a guy
02:09and didn't even pay any attention to it.
02:11I don't understand.
02:13What don't you understand?
02:14Like, why was he a cool father?
02:17You know, just a...
02:19I don't understand what that has to do with the story.
02:23I think he just was, maybe he's just able to talk to him.
02:26Okay.
02:26Right.
02:27Yeah.
02:28Huh.
02:28Yeah.
02:29Not many times he says you knowingly come face to face with a killer.
02:35That's true.
02:36I mean, that is true.
02:37He did send the story...
02:40Yeah, I was wondering what year that was.
02:42...of this murderer.
02:45Murder, murderer.
02:46There we go.
02:48Okay.
02:48Just going to take a little time to load here on the old interwebs.
02:53It's really coming in.
02:54It's really loading.
02:55The Beasley interwebs.
02:58Faster than a speeding pigeon.
03:01Yeah, well...
03:02Not quite.
03:03No.
03:03Not quite.
03:04More like a tortoise.
03:05Yeah.
03:06It's a lightning fast snail.
03:10I did an article.
03:12This is Dave downloading viruses to the Beasley network.
03:16It's not a virus.
03:18It's not working.
03:19It's just a link.
03:19Yeah, and it's just a link I clicked on from a mystery email.
03:24Yeah, let's trust this news.
03:26That'd be diabolical.
03:28You just have to...
03:29Don't start doing that.
03:30You can Google the story.
03:31Oh, yeah.
03:32Gibraltar, Michigan murder suitcase.
03:34It comes up.
03:35CBS News.
03:36Yeah.
03:362011.
03:37Man charge in Gibraltar suitcase murder.
03:39What year?
03:402011.
03:42Give it long enough.
03:42Lisa's got it.
03:45Arrest made in grizzly Gibraltar murder case.
03:49I just want to see the guy.
03:51Man, some of these go by just like a fart in the breeze, though, huh?
03:55Where's that guy?
03:56Is there pictures of the guy?
03:58I thought, like, how do you not have...
04:00How do you not have a picture of the murderer?
04:02Let's see.
04:04It's a 32-year-old woman that died.
04:06I got his name.
04:0852-year-old Ray.
04:09Ray.
04:10Oh, no, that was a police chief.
04:11James Bomber.
04:13James Bomber.
04:14Let's see what he looks like.
04:15I remember that name.
04:16There he is.
04:17Yeah, that was a big trial.
04:20Yeah, he looks like he'd do that.
04:22Yep.
04:23Wow, so that's him, too.
04:25Watch out for that guy.
04:26He'll chop you right into pieces and put in his throat.
04:29I'm not sure, but I think we don't have to worry about it.
04:33Man convicted of dismemberment now accused of peeping on neighbor.
04:37He got out of prison?
04:38Oh.
04:39A judge granted parole after only two years.
04:41What?
04:42How do you go to prison for two years after you're chopping someone up?
04:46Was that the previous thing, that he was caught peeping, or no?
04:51No.
04:52He was sentenced to three to ten years in prison for the dismemberant, dismembering the woman.
04:59That's it?
05:00Yeah.
05:01Did he not kill the woman?
05:02Did he not kill the woman?
05:05He just disposed?
05:08Is that the...
05:09Maybe I don't wait to get into the details.
05:12Like, she was already dead?
05:13Floating around in my brain about this.
05:16I still think that will know.
05:17He admits to cutting up the woman's body, but not killing it.
05:20Yes.
05:20Oh, okay.
05:21He was out on parole, but now he's behind bars.
05:23He was convicted of dismembering this woman and sentenced to three to ten years in prison.
05:27A judge granted parole after only two years.
05:29He was living in an apartment complex in Gibraltar when a woman nearby says he was scaring her.
05:34She found him in PJs holding a bottle of hand lotion.
05:37Oh, yeah.
05:38You only do that for one reason.
05:40It's moisture.
05:42He was in his PJs barefoot, carrying some sort of bottle, told her it was lotion.
05:48Kept going over to the door, kept looking at the window, pulled his pants all the way up.
05:52She called police.
05:53He was arrested for window peeping.
05:5590-day misdemeanor, but it violates his parole.
05:58Oh, he said he got bit by a spider, and that's why he did it.
06:02What?
06:03I'm sorry, why?
06:04Look, at the bottom, the last paragraph.
06:07That's why he would claim his major demon was a recluse spliter to the point where the judges asked him
06:12to stop speaking about it.
06:14And Cordy would tell the judges his problem began when he got bit by a spider.
06:17He's crazy.
06:19Insane.
06:20He's out now, right?
06:21Thanks for listening.
06:22He's out.
06:23Oh, man.
06:24Sorry, crazy guy.
06:25I mean, if you don't think he listens to me.
06:27To this crazy show.
06:29How did the woman die that he cut up?
06:31I guess we have to do a deep dive into the story, you know?
06:33You'd have to, like, look at the court.
06:36That explains the light sentence.
06:40But still.
06:41But still.
06:42After a couple years, after you chop someone up and don't do the right thing.
06:48And it was.
06:48I guess what I don't know is if what was floating in my head was that it's just they couldn't
06:55nail something down.
06:57And so they were like, uh.
07:00So they believe he possibly did.
07:03I mean, I don't know.
07:03I don't know.
07:05Anything's alleged.
07:06It was his girlfriend.
07:07His girlfriend?
07:09What?
07:09He says he and his girlfriend had been doing drugs.
07:11He took a nap afterward.
07:13When he woke up, the girlfriend was dead.
07:15Oh, she OD'd.
07:15He didn't call 911 because she was already dead.
07:18Her remains were found in a suitcase in a creek.
07:21Some of her remains were also found at his house.
07:25Yeah.
07:25How do you.
07:25So was he afraid he would get in trouble for drugs?
07:28My guess is.
07:29Or killing her.
07:30Oh.
07:31Right.
07:31Because she's dead in his place.
07:33Right.
07:34Yeah.
07:34And if you supplied the drugs, but if you supplied the drugs, maybe there's something there.
07:40I don't know.
07:42Anyways.
07:42Yeah.
07:42So, yeah.
07:43You're this guy.
07:44A listener's girlfriend sold this guy all the stuff he needed to chop up his girlfriend.
07:48Yeah.
07:50Ooh.
07:50Weird world.
07:51And she didn't have any idea.
07:52No clue.
07:52There you go.
07:53Have a nice day.
07:55Beep.
07:55Beep.
07:56Beep.
07:57Bye now.
07:59I mean.
08:01Check to sign up for the credit card.
08:02If I think about where I'd go to buy that kind of stuff, I'm going big box.
08:07Because they don't.
08:09They're not.
08:09They're barely there.
08:11Yeah.
08:11Oh.
08:12They're barely there.
08:13They're not paying attention.
08:14Like, I'm not going to Ace.
08:15Who cares?
08:16I'm not going to Ace, where an old man is like, you know, I got suspicious.
08:19Oh, sure.
08:20Ace has their eyes on you.
08:21Oh, yeah.
08:22All right.
08:23Well.
08:23Oh, that's fun.
08:24Yeah.
08:24Thanks for the start.
08:25That's a great start.
08:25There you go.
08:26A little dismembering start to the dead.
08:28Good morning, everyone.
08:29David Chuck, True Crime.
08:30Dismembering Tuesday.
08:32I do like it.
08:33I do like all that crime stuff.
08:35This guy said, I dated a girl in high school.
08:37We broke up years later.
08:39Then I'm on Facebook.
08:39See, she stabbed her boyfriend 18 times.
08:44Yeah.
08:44I don't know.
08:45Her name is.
08:46Please don't say her name.
08:47Don't.
08:48Then don't put it in there.
08:51Why?
08:51Because he wants us to look the story.
08:52Oh, maybe he wants to look it up.
08:54But not say her name.
08:56But then we're looking up a story.
08:59Yeah.
09:00That's her.
09:01There she is right there.
09:02Oh, wow.
09:03So charged.
09:04They did not make you.
09:05Oh, you dated her, man.
09:06Yeah.
09:07It happened.
09:08What?
09:08What?
09:09What?
09:10She's beautiful.
09:12Accused of stabbing her 31-year-old boyfriend to death.
09:16It happens.
09:16Oh, my.
09:18He's found her boyfriend, stabbed to death inside her house.
09:23Injuries from an apparent edged weapon.
09:27Oh, yeah.
09:31Yikes.
09:32Real crimes.
09:33That guy dating her.
09:38Who knows?
09:39Who knows?
09:39When did he say he did?
09:41In high school.
09:42Yeah, high school.
09:43Sometimes you take what you can get in high school.
09:46So, gosh, that's another crazy thing to look up people from high school and see what they
09:52know what they're up to.
09:53Imagine you dated this chick and look at her and ow.
09:56Stabbing people to death looking like frigging bozo.
09:59I know.
10:01Yeah.
10:02A lot of questions there.
10:05What did he do?
10:06Why did you kill him?
10:08Where is she now?
10:11Dave's got all the questions.
10:14Dave questions a 22-year-old murder.
10:18Well, you just don't know.
10:20It's just that they just stop reporting on it and then it's out of there.
10:23Yeah, because everything is just like, you know, it's the salacious part and then it's
10:29like, all right, well, no one cares after that.
10:32She's out living life, I bet.
10:34You think so?
10:35She's not in prison still?
10:36I mean, not after the other guy gets off.
10:38Well, her neighbor, Fred Durst, had a comment.
10:43Oh, my God.
10:45Fred Durst lived next door.
10:47Fred Durst lived next door to her.
10:48Keep rolling, rolling.
10:49Yeah.
10:50Say what?
10:52Keep on rolling, baby.
10:55What does...
10:56You know what time it is.
10:57Michigan's Fred Durst look like.
11:00He's got to be in the story, right?
11:02Well, you got to try.
11:03He's got to be in the story.
11:06Well, it's a new story.
11:07Shane Baker stabbed to death inside the girlfriend's house near 12 Mile on Birmingham Street.
11:13Jermont Terry talked with...
11:14What do you decide?
11:15What someone died?
11:16For something.
11:18There's like no...
11:1812 Mile times.
11:20Reasons still.
11:21He loved her.
11:22His daughter was going to raise her.
11:23Just show me Michigan's Fred Durst.
11:26Stuck around.
11:27Gave him a black eye.
11:29And during all this, like, he never once laid a hand on her.
11:31I'm told to figure out if the girlfriend snapped or was defending herself.
11:36But friends say...
11:37See.
11:37We know the...
11:39No, but they've determined that she was not defending herself.
11:43Oh.
11:47Stabbed him right to death.
11:48And they don't show Michigan's Fred Durst.
11:50Oh, that's too bad.
11:54I'd like to see him.
11:58Michigan's Fred Durst.
11:59I mean, it's going to be so hard to find.
12:01It is.
12:02Yeah.
12:03Oh, well.
12:04Too bad.
12:04Oh, well.
12:07Watch out.
12:08People all around.
12:09Oh.
12:10Yeah, see, it's not worth it.
12:11She's out now.
12:12Oh, yeah.
12:13There you go.
12:13Now all these people are out and listening.
12:15We're talking about all these old cases and not knowing where they are.
12:17Yeah, it's a real bad idea.
12:18You know, your past sticks with you.
12:19So just stop stabbing people.
12:22And we won't have to talk about it.
12:24True.
12:25Yeah, it's what happens.
12:28I mean, I don't want to anger anybody with, you know, homicidal tendencies.
12:34Oh, my God.
12:35There's so many of these coming in.
12:36This is wild.
12:38Well, we could do a whole show.
12:39I know.
12:40Oh, my God.
12:41I think Chuck the Freaks.
12:43Unsolved Mysteries.
12:45Well, we're kind of solving them.
12:47They've been solved a decade ago.
12:49Totally.
12:49Solved.
12:50Solved.
12:50We need to change that.
12:52Solved Mysteries.
12:53Solved and time served.
12:54We're revisiting.
12:55Where are they now?
12:57They've done their time.
13:00Used to date this girl about five years ago.
13:02Known her my whole life.
13:03And about two to three years ago, she got in trouble for stabbing her boyfriend and her
13:07boyfriend's friend.
13:08Supposedly, she was all messed up on.
13:10Klonopin.
13:11Klonopins.
13:12Really?
13:13She was always kind of out there.
13:16Also had another girlfriend who threatened me with a knife before.
13:22Klonopin?
13:23You take a lot of that?
13:25Isn't that like a...
13:26It's like Xanax.
13:27Yeah.
13:27Yeah.
13:27But if you're drinking on it...
13:29Yeah, but if you drink on it, that's when it goes sour.
13:32That's a...
13:32Definitely heard of that.
13:34Yeah, that's like the people who accidentally take one of those and then drink on a plane
13:38and then they black out and pee all over people.
13:4223-year-old Madison Gibson charged with felonious assault with the weapon after two victims
13:46had to be treated for knife wounds.
13:47Gotta watch what you drink and take.
13:50Our crime show is so different.
13:53They're solved and time served and they might be rehabilitated and we're like, bring it up!
13:58This is what our podcasts are.
14:00This is what our extra podcast should be.
14:02Yeah, it should be.
14:03Old solved crimes.
14:05Old solved murders.
14:07Already solved crimes.
14:09Murders that have been solved a long time ago.
14:11Where are they now?
14:12We've never heard of them.
14:15We're trying to piece it together.
14:17Well, these wouldn't be on our radar, but...
14:20No.
14:21Well, I like that podcast because then they have a chance to talk, you know, and we can
14:25see where they're at today.
14:26Oh, I don't want to talk.
14:27We're going to have the crazies on with us?
14:28Oh, I don't like that idea.
14:29Some of them are rehabilitated.
14:31We're going to have them, but you're not people.
14:32You have to assume some have changed their life.
14:35That's what I think is amazing.
14:36Oh, my goodness.
14:37Hey, you're still wearing those PJs.
14:38Hey, man.
14:40Oh, boy.
14:40That guy.
14:41All right, then we hang up on them, but if they've changed their life, we could ask questions.
14:45We don't want that spider guy on.
14:46You don't?
14:47No.
14:47No.
14:48No way.
14:48I had like one conversation with spider guy.
14:50He would?
14:51Oh, man.
14:52No way.
14:53I briefly dated this girl in high school.
14:54It's always you dated this girl in high school.
14:57Sure.
14:58Well, because I always think about it, you know, like I remember when my kids were in that
15:04D.A.R.E. stuff and learning all about not doing drugs, and I was like, man, what are
15:09the percentages of the people that are in this little D.A.R.E. class right now that are
15:14going to go on and do the ultimate in hard drugs?
15:18And it's like so many.
15:20I briefly dated a girl last year.
15:22She was charged with the alleged murder of an 83-year-old man who was stabbed to death
15:28with a screwdriver.
15:30What?
15:31Did she stab an 83-year-old guy to death?
15:35So this listener dated this woman who did this.
15:40That's what's interesting is our listeners seem to have connections with these people.
15:46Oh, man.
15:47Oh, yeah.
15:48There's just murders everywhere, huh?
15:50Not all around us.
15:54Oh, no.
15:55Oh, my goodness.
15:55My goodness.
15:56Oh, my goodness.
15:57Oh, my damn.
15:58Oh, my goodness.
16:00She's going ham.
16:0235-year-old woman facing murder charges after authorities say she stabbed an 83-year-old
16:06man to death inside a home in Royal Oak, Michigan.
16:1035-year-old Samantha Rae Booth charged with first-degree murder, second-degree abuse, assault
16:14with a dangerous weapon, and more.
16:17Was she charged?
16:19Like, did it go to court?
16:21Also accused of non-fatally assaulting a man with a screwdriver.
16:28She's a nanny, was watching a kid.
16:33The child's grandfather went to the home.
16:39So, she didn't like the fact that someone was checking up on her?
16:41Something like that.
16:43So, she stabbed him?
16:45Yeah.
16:46And then she, like, then she dropped the screwdriver and stripped her clothes off.
16:51Ran from the police.
16:52Yeah.
16:53That's hot.
16:54No.
16:56Mushrooms and marijuana were found in her purse.
16:58I mean, that should really just calm you down.
17:02Maybe not the shrooms if you do too much, but.
17:05Gosh, what's up with that kid, huh?
17:09He's probably messed up.
