00:06Today we'll be talking about the Holy Mary train station.
00:15Now, I, like many others, have a fine appreciation for art.
00:20Of course, this particular station is full of it.
00:24One of them being this particular statue of the Holy Mary.
00:31This statue depicts her in a praying stance, her eyes closed, dressed in pure white clothes, with birds surrounding her,
00:41flowers and grapes.
00:43The artist intended to show the Holy Mary in this pose as a symbol of her purity and as a
00:49symbol of the love everyone shares for her.
00:52As I said, this place has a lot of fine art.
00:55This one, in particular, depicts Mother Mary holding a young Jesus Christ in her arms next to a particular chapel,
01:04which actually is outside this very metro station.
01:07Outside the many breathtaking art pieces in this station, there also is a great feat of engineering.
01:16One of them being this very ceiling right here.
01:18This is common in metro stations in Tehran.
01:22A lot of artists show their creativity in the buildings, the walls, the windows, everything.
01:28Another one of the art pieces I found is right here, which is in the other side of this station.
01:36It's depicting Jesus Christ next to some text, as you can see right here.
01:44This is a 3D statue.
01:47You can actually come here and touch this one.
01:50And the text is also 3D.
01:55This one, in particular, is a verse from the Bible written in Armenian, Arabic, and Persian.
02:02It is about the Holy Mary, of course.
02:05And if we turn around over here, we can see a book written by Ayatollah Khamenei about the Christian martyrs
02:12in the Iran-Araq war.
02:14Off the escalators, and you can immediately see this.

02:24This is about the Virgin Mary.
02:26And just a little fun fact, the Holy Mary was mentioned in both the Bible and the Koran.

02:38As you can see here, this one is about Jesus Christ, and this one is quoting something in the Koran
02:47that has spoken about Jesus Christ.
