00:00You know, we just filed a humanitarian packet for him, just kind of trying to do everything we can
00:06to get him pardoned and hopefully come back or even just on visitation. We're still actively
00:12working through that and trying everything we can. That was Gia Giudice revealing the length
00:17she's willing to go in order to see her dad, Joe, back in the U.S. Gia faced backlash from
00:22Bravo
00:22fans last year after making an emotional appeal to President Trump on her Instagram. In the video,
00:27she signs a stack of letters to send to the White House and calls the absence of her father
00:32quote, something that never stops hurting. The Bravo star ended up issuing an apology a week later,
00:37telling fans on a podcast that she has so much respect for her country and was not trying to
00:42show any privilege or entitlement. She said watching Trump pardon fellow reality stars,
00:46the Chrisleys, inspired her to pursue a second chance for her father. Trump granted full,
00:51unconditional pardons to Todd and Julie Chrisley in May of last year. Page Six spoke exclusively to
00:57Joe Giudice this April, where he got candid about the outcome of his legal troubles.
01:02Well, I definitely don't think I should have been deported. I mean, you know, I was there since I was
01:07a year old. I have four kids there. I was married, got my whole family there. I mean, it was
01:13my fault
01:13that I got deported because I should have just became a citizen a long time ago. So, I mean,
01:17I'm not blaming anybody. You know, it was my fault.
01:20Gia's announcement isn't her dad's first time asking President Trump for help either.
01:25Just a month after the Chrisleys' pardons, Joe Giudice posted a direct plea to Trump on his
01:30Instagram, writing,
01:31I'm Joe Giudice. I served my time and I've been deported from the U.S. for nearly a decade.
01:36I was raised in Jersey. I'm a father of four amazing daughters, and I just want to be allowed
01:41to visit them again. President Trump, I respect you and I'm asking for a second chance.
01:45He tagged both President Trump and Donald Trump Jr. in the post, adding the hashtags
01:50Pardon Joe Giudice, Family Matters, and Second Chances. In 2014, Teresa and Joe Giudice pleaded
01:58guilty to several counts of bankruptcy fraud and tax offenses. The Giudices served separate
02:03consecutive sentences. While Teresa was granted early release, Joe served his full sentence
02:07of 41 months. But Joe had never taken the steps to obtain his U.S. citizenship and was supported
02:13after doing his time. Giudice was sent to Italy after his sentence in 2019, but in 2021, he moved
02:19to the Bahamas to be closer to his family stateside. The now-divorced couple's children have been
02:24open about missing their dad, even making international travel plans to spend time with
02:29him. And it appears that Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is friendly
02:33with her ex-husband for the sake of her family, leaving a supportive comment over this loving
02:38post Joe wrote to his daughter. Joe wrote, My Gia never quits, never backs down, and always
02:44shows her heart. I know you're going to do amazing things in this life. Love you.
02:49Teresa commented on the post, adding, Yes, she is. The NextGenNYC star shared in her new
02:54interview that she is heading to the Bahamas next week, adding that her dad is, quote,
02:58doing great. It appears that her dad has launched a private boating business while living in the
03:03Bahamas. Advertising on his Instagram, book your private boat day at joejudicetours.com.
