00:00When the ultra-rich, they want to go on over-the-top vacations, a lot of them call one woman.
00:05Her name is Olivia Fernie with Top Tier Travel.
00:08She's a 25-year-old Canadian child of school teachers.
00:11She has a knack for making the impossible happen for a price tag.
00:16Because there is a $100,000 annual fee, clients have to agree to book a million-dollar travel every year.
00:21But as the New York Times writes, Olivia makes the impossible happen.
00:25And she is here with us now.
00:27Olivia, thank you for coming in for this.
00:29Thank you for having me.
00:30This is great.
00:31It is so exciting.
00:32I've got to tell you, I've been stalking you on Instagram to your over a million followers.
00:36But one of the things I find are these conversations you have and all the off-the-wall things you
00:40have to do for your clients.
00:41You actually recently set a Guinness World Record.
00:45We did.
00:45You want to play some sound from one of your posts.
00:47Listen to this.
00:48I have a client that's in town.
00:50Okay.
00:51He needs our help.
00:52He doesn't have fun anymore.
00:54He's bored.
00:54He's been there.
00:55He's done that.
00:56He's a done-it-all guy.
00:57He wants something new.
00:58Yep.
00:58Yeah.
00:58Okay.
00:59So I think he's looking for us to kind of just do better.
01:04What do you, I'm a little terrified to ask.
01:06What do you have in mind?
01:07And what does he have in mind?
01:08I'm not sure how we're going to pull this off.
01:10Okay.
01:10But he did jokingly mention about breaking world record.
01:15Okay.
01:15So what was that world record that was broken?
01:17So we broke the largest amount of champagne bottles delivered during a single bottle service presentation ever.
01:23Oh, my God.
01:24And it was Dom Perignon, though.
01:25It was.
01:26It was.
01:27It was.
01:27How did you put that together or something like this?
01:29You know what?
01:29I have a little bit of a sickness when it comes to saying no.
01:32I don't really believe in the words.
01:34So when a client asks me to do something, I jump right in.
01:36And the Guinness World Record was fun.
01:38The client gave me a lot of creative freedom.
01:40He loves the Instagram.
01:41So he just wanted me to kind of go for it.
01:42How many bottles was it?
01:43200.
01:43How much does that cost?
01:45Yes.
01:46Over a quarter of a million dollars.
01:47It was very expensive.
01:48This is a money show.
01:49Yeah.
01:50It was very expensive.
01:52I bet it was.
01:52So you were sitting at the Tableau restaurant.
01:55This party was at the Wynn, right?
01:56Or at the Encore.
01:58Best breakfast in Las Vegas, by the way, at the Tableau.
02:01I agree.
02:01I love this quote.
02:02Was the party for Joe?
02:04Well, no.
02:04Sorry.
02:05Okay.
02:05But we're working on it.
02:06All right.
02:07Next year.
02:07Next year.
02:07This is not going to be.
02:08You know how we like to make ourselves feel better?
02:10Yes.
02:10Like, oh, well, rich people, more money, more problems.
02:12Yeah.
02:13People think the super rich are unhappy.
02:15They're not.
02:17Is that what we really need to know?
02:19I know.
02:19I think people were a little disappointed in that quote.
02:21But I have to say, so for myself, as we talked about, the $100,000 a year retainer,
02:26this kind of gives me an opportunity to be very selective with the people that I work with.
02:30First off, yes, there's the paywall.
02:31But we are very, very particular about who we bring on.
02:34You will say no to people.
02:35Oh, we say no all the time.
02:36I like to like who I work with.
02:38My job would be miserable if I was being yelled at all day.
02:41Well, if you like someone and they pay the $100,000, will you say no to something that
02:46they've asked you to do?
02:47Yeah, for sure.
02:47For sure.
02:48And because of this, like, I've been able to create a beautiful group of people.
02:52And I don't share this much on the social media because it's not as fun and not as
02:55sexy.
02:55But my people are awesome.
02:57They are philanthropic.
02:58They have the best just energy.
02:59They've done incredible things with their lives.
03:01And my goal is to be able to put them all in a room together and have them learn and
03:05love
03:05and laugh and do business together.
03:07So that's kind of the community that I'm trying to create here.
03:09What if you said no to?
03:09Give us something.
03:10Somebody wanted to go to the moon.
03:11What have they asked you to do?
03:12Anything illegal or past 2 a.m.
03:15is usually a no-go for me.
03:17Good answer.
03:17Well, we're out.
03:18Yeah.
03:19No, just kidding.
03:21How did you get into this?
03:22And your background is really, you are a child of school teachers.
03:26I am, yeah.
03:26Grew up in Ontario.
03:28Or the teachers were in, they taught in Ontario.
03:30Small town Dundas, girl.
03:32Yeah.
03:32How did this happen?
03:33I ask myself that question almost every single day.
03:36Well, I grew up, again, yes, a child of school teachers.
03:38I didn't know what a private jet was until a couple years ago.
03:41And now, magically, I'm here.
03:43I just, I think I've always been somebody that doesn't accept no.
03:45So when I see something I really want to be a part of, I jump head in.
03:49So when I met Troy, I just fell in love with the business.
03:52Like, you have something here.
03:53And I thought it was really magical.
03:54And pretty much forced him to hire me.
03:56And now we're here.
03:57Amazing.
03:57Your partner is your fiancé.
04:00He is, yeah.
04:00You've got life in the palm of your hand here, it sounds like.
04:03Can you guys imagine 25 years old and being able to realize and say,
04:08I only want to work with people I like?
04:11Yeah.
04:11I was being yelled at by bosses at 25 years old.
04:15Correct, correct.
04:16Well, it's funny.
04:16You have all these requests that people make.
04:18I mean, some of them, I'm listening to your phone conversations.
04:20They're like, my champagne's at 49 degrees, not 50.
04:24It's crazy.
04:25But it's not just about travel.
04:26So we have another bite from one of your Instagram posts.
04:29Listen to this wild request.
04:30Go ahead.
04:30All right.
04:31Mr. Pinata has been hung up.
04:32He's good to go.
04:33He is steady.
04:35He's not going anywhere.
04:36His stomach is filled with our delicious high jewelry.
04:39And I think the client's going to be pretty happy with this one.
04:41Love you guys.
04:42Now, this pinata is an ex-husband.
04:45Is that correct?
04:46It is, yes.
04:47So this was the same client that we did a divorce cake with,
04:50actually a couple months ago, to celebrate initiating the divorce process.
04:53And congratulations, Sandy.
04:55The divorce has closed, and she's celebrated with a pinata.
04:58Oh, my gosh.
04:59Does the husband look like that?
05:01Yeah.
05:01It's not too far-fetched.
05:03I was Googling going on a little bit later on.
05:05I will say.
05:06So where do you go?
05:08Like, what's next?
05:09And I'm also curious, how many clients do you have that are paying $100,000 a year?
05:13So we keep the retainer, or sorry, we keep the amount of people in our concierge plus always under 50.
05:17Yeah.
05:18Yeah, we're really more of a quality over quantity thing.
05:20We're not trying to service everybody.
05:21Not all money is good money.
05:23So, again, as I said, just trying to build a group of people that we really like to work with
05:26and are just awesome humans.
05:27So, Stalker, you have to wrap this up.
05:29I know.
05:30I do.
05:31But, first of all, you're planning a wedding at the same time, you?
05:33I am.
05:33I am.
05:34Who's planning your wedding party?
05:36Exactly.
05:36Oh, I wish.
05:36I'm open to all wedding planners, if anybody has a good one.
05:39I do not have the time.
05:40That's a high-pressure gig.
05:42We'll throw it together very last minute, but the stakes are high, I will say.
05:45Will there be champagne?
05:47Oh, tons.
05:47Tons.
05:48Maybe another Guinness World Record.
05:51Also, a TV, this is in the making for a TV show.
05:54It's got to be.
05:55It sounds like it.
05:56And it is.
05:57Yeah.
05:57Okay, so when can we see this?
05:59What is happening?
05:59I mean, hopefully soon.
06:00The producers of Zebra's?
06:01Yes.
06:02Yeah, the team involved is amazing.
06:04Make Ready is amazing.
06:05And we are just, we're so excited.
06:07We don't know all the information yet, but we're hoping to have some more info heading into the winter.
06:11Come back and tell us.
06:12I will.
06:12Please, please, please.
06:13Olivia Fernie, it has been a pleasure talking to you so much.
06:17I've learned so much.
06:18It's crazy.
06:19See, she's a lovely stalker.
06:21I'm just going to tell you.
06:22Yes.
06:22She's absolutely lovely.
06:24I'm a friendly stalker.
06:24We're a lovely stalker.
06:25Absolutely.
06:26Dare to dream.
06:27Someday we'll be clients.
06:29I know.
06:29Fingers crossed.
06:29Fingers crossed.
06:30So you're...
