44:08So he's got a lot of opportunity to cover and cover out the perimeter
44:14and do all those types of things.
44:16Yeah, I think, you know, give him every chance he can get through this training.
44:22Unfortunately, I don't even know what happened for the joint practice he didn't play,
44:27but he was playing earlier, so maybe just a little nick,
44:31but he got in the game today and got a good help.
44:34Got a lot of opportunity there to see what it's like,
44:37and he'll continue to get better and better.
44:40And co-defensive player of the year in the Mountain West last year.
44:43Now it's third down after the tackle by Rodney McGrew got in that backfield.
44:49Played his college ball in Kalamazoo.
44:53Allen is swallowed up there at the line.
44:56Woodard and Rieger in there.

47:27They got some really good players.

47:44I don't know if they didn't have too many guys on the field.

47:56You know, Harbaugh's, both of those brothers, great coaches, always produce.

48:07You know, 18 years there in Baltimore.

48:09He and Mike Tomlin, both out of that division and out of the conference in the AFC.
48:13I mean, there's a lot of Dolphin fans.
48:15If you're on the younger side, you don't even remember an AFC without those two guys coaching those teams.
48:22Tomlin has moved on to get the big pay raise being on TV now.

48:32He's not going to do the Bill Cowher and just, that's it?
48:36I don't know.
48:37If it feels comfortable, I don't know.
48:41I still think there's some coaching left in him.

48:54So, you know, you got the three and running back, you know, with A-Chan Wright and Gordon, the mainstays.
49:00And then you've got Carlos Washington, Jr., Donovan Edwards rounding out this running back 5-7 training camp.
49:07Trying to show a little something, see what they could do.
49:11Boy, A-Chan, did he ever look good tonight?
49:15Jeff Halfley, I think half-joking, said, hey, I told him you're going to get the ball 40-45 times.
49:19I'll carry you off the field after the game.
49:21I don't think it'll be that many any weeks, but could be in the neighborhood once in a while.
49:25Yeah, but I tell you, you know, he's got that unique ability to catch the ball as well as he
49:32runs.
49:33Well, that's another pick for Miller.
49:36Malik Spencer, the rookie from Michigan State, makes the play for Washington.
49:47So, a tough goal for the Dolphin backup quarterbacks tonight.
49:51Again, there was pressure.
49:53But you were struggling, too.
49:54One one parade, I mean.
49:56And, look, we knew the receiver core was not going to be, you know, what you'd like it to be.
50:07You're just hoping that somebody's going to step up over these next couple weeks.
50:11Or else, you know, you get to hit the waiver wire or something.
50:14But, you know, the two areas of concern for me are the wide receivers and the secondary.
50:25Everything else, you're in a pretty good position.
50:34Tanner Wall made the tackle.
50:35The other Dolphins, number 34 on defense.
50:38Rookie out of BYU, picked up once training camp started.
50:43Herman wearing number 34 on offense.
50:46So, less than five minutes to go now.
50:55The Dolphins will like what the first stringers did tonight when they were in there.
51:00After that, it was advantage to the commanders.
51:06Second and four, near midfield for Callie Ekmanis, hit quarterback.
51:12Keep it on the ground.
51:18And it was Kyle Lewis and Lewis Moore, a couple of rookies for the Dolphins on the tackle.
51:31Third and short now.
51:34So, getting back to HN.
51:38With the way he's developed over the last couple of years, what he did last year,
51:42running, catching the football, all the ability he's got.
51:47I mean, it's, you know, to watch him, especially with an offensive line,
51:52it really wasn't that great for him last year.
51:55And if this line is anything like we've seen tonight,
51:59the starting line and continues to improve,
52:03the ability to keep teams off balance with running pass with him in the backfield,
52:07the ability to run the ball and get these two, these three running backs
52:12that all have different abilities in the game,
52:16it's going to be, I mean, you're going to have to fill out those other spots
52:20that are deficit, but that running back room and that offensive line
52:25certainly looks like it's going to be a strong part of this team.
52:28Well, that O-line, you know, and you look at that right side,
52:31so if Austin Jackson's healthy, we've seen it, really good in the run game,
52:36when Jackson's not healthy, it's a struggle.
52:38Can Savaii Naya, going back to his college position on the right side,
52:43even just be serviceable, you know, even if he's average?
52:46All of a sudden, you've got the making of a pretty good offensive line,
52:49and then you throw in Kazmarek, the rookie tight end,
52:51who's, you know, looking like he can stand people upright at the line.
52:54And, Bo, a lot of high draft picks here.
52:59Does this have a chance to maybe be one of, if not the best units on this team?
53:03I think it does.
53:05I mean, look, Caden Proctor is all that you expected out of him.
53:09And you put him between Patrick Paul and Aaron Brewer,
53:12that left side is going to be tough for anybody,
53:16whether it's pass protection, whether it's running the football.
53:20And Savaii and I, I think, you know,
53:22the people I've talked to in the organization feel like he's more comfortable there
53:27and he feels better in the space there.
53:31He's just got to, you know, there's a couple times in pass rushes
53:33where he tends to dip his head so the defender can get his arm over him
53:38and get pressure on him.
53:40But, yeah, so to me the key is Austin Jackson.
53:43Stay healthy and just let Savaii and I continue to improve as a player
53:48in a spot where he seems to be comfortable at.
53:51Yeah, and you would just think anyway, year two in the NFL.
53:54No doubt.
53:54It just makes things a little bit easier also.
53:56So that's the other thing.
53:57The other thing about him, much like Patrick Paul,
54:00when he came as a rookie year, they put him in the middle of the year
54:05and he played a lot of snaps.
54:07Savaii and I had a bunch of snaps last year.
54:09So he, and you go in there as a rookie coming out of the college,
54:13you're not used to seeing the detail of the defensive line play,
54:17the games that they play, the little techniques that they've got.
54:21And so he saw, I mean, like I don't know how many snaps,
54:25three, four, five hundred snaps, however many snaps he saw.
54:28And you could go back there during the offseason and go back over them
54:32and learn from them.
54:33So you've got that advantage and you've got another advantage of him being on a side
54:37where he feels comfortable at, right?
54:41Because that's where he played when he came out of college.
54:44And so, you know, I think they're very happy with what that is.
54:48That little sticking point is just Austin Jackson being healthy.
54:52Because I think if you lose Austin Jackson there and Savaii and I is over there,
54:57it's going to be a little bit, it's going to be a little tougher.
55:00Yeah, you like the position Savaii and I and then the rookie Proctor in
55:03between the people there between at those guard positions.
55:06No doubt, no doubt.
55:08This is why they run it down to the two-minute warning.

55:13I pull it out every now and then.

55:15You know, a little frisky.
55:18Well, we didn't ask you about that.
55:20We just asked if you were to fin every once in a while.

56:53Certainly, there is the embrace.

57:00They want to go over a mistake made, try to get their guys better, better for next week.
57:05Them continue to do that, but coaches coach.
57:10They certainly feel the emotion of the game, but when they get into the meeting room,
57:15they get in the tape room, it's all about correcting mistakes, and let's move on and get better.
