00:00Most people think a call center is a building full of headsets,
00:06like my guest today is wearing, and scripts.
00:10But my guest actually thinks a call center is a cathedral of human communication.
00:18And you'd argue that the phone is actually the last place on earth
00:24where a stranger's voice can still change your entire day.
00:30At the age of 27, Richard Blank left northeast Philadelphia for Costa Rica
00:38on what was actually supposed to be a short trip.
00:42Guess what? He never returned home.
00:45He learned the business from the inside.
00:48And in his mid-30s, he started from a single seat
00:53and built it into a bilingual operation that has trained over thousands of agents.
01:01He also owns the largest collection of restored American pinball machines in Central America.
01:09And he has actually used them to run his company.
01:13So I want you to stay with me because we are not talking about a hobby today.
01:18We're talking about a leadership system.
01:21Welcome to the Clarity Mandate, Richard Blank.
01:25Well, doctor, I am so happy to be with you and your amazing audience today.
01:31Now, behind the scenes, we had to work on it a lot to get here today.
01:35Thank you for your grace.
01:37Thanks for giving us some grace with our scheduling issues.
01:41Of course.
01:41Listen, I made the cut.
01:43I would have done anything to be on your show.
01:46You are great.
01:47Anyway, I just want your audience to know there are two individuals out there
01:50that worked very hard to be here today.
